Fresh Canine Training

I paid Charlotte with Fresh Canine $1200 for her Board and Train dog program. This program consists of two weeks that the trainer has the dog. The concept is that the dog goes away for two weeks, and comes back with the following trained: This program covers: Sit Down Stay Wait Come Leash manners Eye contact Crate training House training Dog socialization 1 hour lesson at pick-up 1 hour follow-up lesson in home All her website stated is that she takes puppies for this program from 8 weeks to 6 months. She never gave me any other further details besides taking my deposit and securing a date for my puppy to come. At the end of the program, when she brought my puppy home, he was NO DIFFERENT then when I dropped him off. I had been saving since June of this year to be able to afford paying a professional to train my dog because that is what they "specialize" in. I lost two precious weeks with my puppy so sweet and small to have him come back not trained whatsoever, still having accidents in his crate and not potty trained. When I addressed the situation to Charlotte via email, her responses were very professionally vague, giving no solid answers for why the service we paid for was not completed. The biggest reason she said was because he was so young... My vet recommended that puppies learn best when they are young and her program states she takes puppies at 8 weeks. Mine was 10 weeks when I dropped him off. When I simply asked for my money back, she did not respond to my email like the first one I had sent. I even sent the email again to make sure she received it... no response. When I really looked back on her website, all her wording for what she offers is very vague with a big price tag. She does not go nearly in-depth on her website for what to expect (or what not to expect) as she did on our email thread. I would have been satisfied if I saw any transformation.. But I didn't. I thought there was something wrong with my dog, but since we got him back (almost a month ago) we have trained him ourselves with less than 5 min a night to "sit" and to "stay" and are working on potty training. If I can do it and I am not a pro, there is no excuse for why I paid a "professional" $1200 to see no change. I would love my money back. But even more than that, I want to help make other people aware.
