Friendly Neighborhood Dog Training

James is an excellent trainer! He has a great knowledge of dog behavior and is able to individualize the training for each dog. He helped us train our 2 year Golden Retriever. She has her CGC and is now doing Therapy training. James is honest and fun to work with.

James is amazing. I adopted a dog from the shelter who was "trained", but due to being bounced from multiple foster homes to the animal shelter, we were basically starting from scratch when it came to behavior issues. Not to mention I had never had a dog before, so I needed a lot of training as well! I am so thankful for Friendly Neighborhood Dog Training. We did the six week beginners class at Petsense, and it changed our lives. Not only did it teach me to engage Roscoe in basic commands we thought he had forgotten, but it also got him comfortable around other dogs and people. James was always available during the week for any follow-up situations or completely new issues, and was always willing to talk after class to fine tune skills we learned that day. I would have loved to do the one-on-one training sessions, but we moved before I got the chance. Do not hesitate in contacting James for any of your dog training needs!

I cannot say enough about our invaluable time with James. We first met with James when our lab/golden mix was 12 weeks old. We were hoping to address puppy habits, early, so they wouldn't translate into adult dog bad/annoying habits. He turned us onto the gentle leader, which proved to be life changing. Our pup is now 7 mos. old, and we continue to work w/ James, not because our pup is not learning, but because she is progressing so well, that we want to continue down this path & eventually get her certified as a service dog. James has done an amazing job in training her in basic commands & socialization with people, as well as other dogs. He has also helped train us as dog parents. I highly recommend James. It doesn't matter the breed or age of the dog. His knowledge of canine behaviors & habits is vast.

We recently adopted a stray dog and we were completely out of our league with her. James experience with dogs is evident from the moment he meets your pet. He doesn't make any grandiose promises but instructs you with a simple plan that creates proven results. After working with him for just 8 days we already are seeing a different dog. His methods WORK and are very easy to do on a daily basis. I could not recommend him more highly!

James is an awesome trainer. We took our 2 boxer females to him about 8 years ago and we just took our rescued male boxer Max to him for training for last 6 weeks. Thank you James.
