I'm going to be honest- I haven't tried the poke. My boyfriend has and said it was delicious, but that next time he'd get more mix-ins. I really like their hibachi, and the rice is *amazing.* I'm reviewing because the staff is phenomenal. Super nice, helpful people. If you haven't tried them yet, you really should!
I love the amount of options for the poke bowls here. Ingredients are fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed it! The things I found weird are that even though I dined in, I was served in a non-reusable bowl I can see how this is handy if you want to take it to go, as there are various lids available at the counter to snap onto it to make it to go but there was no recycling bin. There were disposable plastic cups at the water station, and baby carrots as a topping rather than like...shredded carrots? Nothing is wrong with the food thus far, but I would like to see less plastic waste here.
My husband recently discovered this place because he was looking for Poke. Although it is a corner business, you cannot see the restaurant from the street because it is behind Bayview Fitness on Beecher and 1st. There's parking behind the building. When you enter, you immediately notice how clean the restaurant is. The restrooms are well taken care of. The menu items are pretty decent. I am pretty partial to the tuna poke bowl. There's also salmon poke. It is all made fresh right in front of you. I will definitely give other menu items a try and post those results.
The man behind the counter was extremely helpful and all the ingredients were very fresh. It was the best poke bowl I’ve had in Milwaukee and such a bang for your buck!! My friend had the burrito and said it was very filling. Will definitely be back!!!
One of the best POKE places anywhere. Runs neck and neck with top poke establishments in California. I am so happy they opened and locally. Way better than FreshFin and more reasonably priced. The staff are super friendly, the restaurant is always so clean, and the food is always FRESH.
This is a fantastic light, fresh and healthy meal, perfect for summer! Have been back several times already for the build-your-own bowl or burrito. We are long time fans of the sushi at Fujiyama on HWY 100, so are very excited about their new venture in Bay View. And the punch card for frequent diners is an extra perk! Got free Bubble Tea today. Thanks!
Very good poke, a good selection of toppings, add in, etc. They also have drinks and appetizers. It does have a small dine in section. The food was good, service was good but the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because it's a little pricier than the other poke places in the city.
I had an overall great experience at the restaurant, I agree with another one of the comments about plastic waste, but still a good meal and great bubble tea. I did however find a hair in my dish that was definitely not mine, and couldn't do much about it, as I had takeout.
I wasn't a fan of all the plastic packaging that they used, but the food was tasty nonetheless. The options are pretty unlimited for the different combinations of bowls you can make. The service was also excellent.
So good! Super fresh ingredients and made to order. Friendly staff.
