FYFE Apartments

The worst management in downtown Detroit! The only good thing about this building was the location. The management team was so rude and irresponsible. They stopped providing the parking and recommended using Fox parking garage or a garage in midtown!!! Their contractors damaged my furniture and the management didn't even care and they even stopped answering my calls and messages!!! There was several utilities outages and their only answer was "The building is old". We didn't have water for multiple times for duration of 5 days!!! There was a carbon monoxide leakage in the building and surprisingly there was no alarm in the building and the management didn't send us any email or call to ask us to leave the building. One of the residents noticed that and firefighter department came and evacuate the building! When I asked the property manager why they didn't notify us, her only answer was "It was weekend, It was my birthday!!" OMG they don't even care about people's lives. Don't make a mistake by renting this apartment

Pros: Most affordable for the area, good location, neighbors are pretty good Cons: Parking is trash and they canceled my parking entirely 2 months before my lease was up with less than 30 days notice, security is severely lacking for a downtown building, maintenance left a huge mess in my apartment twice, left a hole in my bathroom ceiling for 3 months, and left a moldy ceiling tile in my ceiling for 3 months after I requested a replacement multiple times. Only recommend if you really want to live downtown on the cheap. Also, no ventilation or fresh air, windows didn't even crack open.

The location is great, but that's about it. We moved out because a new property management company took over and would not fix anything about the apartment. Our ceiling fell down because the people upstairs had a leaky AC unit - they didn't fix the AC or our ceiling. At all. They also kept half our security deposit to cover "rent" for the month AFTER we moved out, despite the fact that we gave 45 days notice. Do NOT do business with MTH Management.

This place is terrible! The building manager is never there he works at another property downtown so there is no one onsite. If you do talk to ANDERS he’s incompetent at best at his job. I moved out and gave my 30 day notice then a month later I recived a summons in the mail for not paying rent!! I couldn’t reach ANDERS on his phone and he didn’t return my calls so I had to track him down at the other apartments where he works. Long story short I had to go through a whole lot to not only clear the whole not paying my monthly rent and receiving summons in the mail but also getting my security deposit. This place is run down and falling apart and there isn’t anyone there to help you! Don’t waste your time even going there!!!
