My mother, my sister, and I all attended the Spring Baking class this past Saturday at Garnish Kitchen and had a delightful time! Chef Aaron is knowledgeable and patient and created a pressure-free, enjoyable experience. What's more, everything was so well organized and ready for us to follow the recipes that there's little room for mistakes. We will definitely be going back for more!

Great place for lunch and dinner! Sandwiches, salads, and entrees have all been expertly planned and prepared. Super friendly service. Lunch is as quick as fast food but so much better. I can't wait until I get a chance to try the classes.

Instead of learning how to make a specific recipe, you will learn the why behind every step in a dish, and leave feeling like you had a bit of a chemistry lesson. My friend Mel and I were quick to sign up for the Tapas and Sangria night. We felt like pros creating dishes of lamb, shrimp, mussels, and empanadas which were all absolutely delicious. The classes at Garnish Kitchen are different because you don’t just follow a recipe, but rather receive a lesson and demonstration from Chef Aaron Hubbard. The classes start with Chef Aaron demonstrating each step of the dish as he explains why we use certain ingredients and follow a specific order. Then you take your tray of ingredients and create the dish on your own sans a recipe to follow (so pay attention!). Chef Aaron and another chef from the restaurant walk around the room and help anyone who needs it, teaching valuable lessons along the way. When your dish is complete and plated (another great lesson we learned), everyone in the class sits down to enjoy their creations together. Since taking two classes at Garnish Kitchen, I already feel more comfortable in the kitchen and I do not rely so heavily on a recipe as much as the technique. Knowing little things like when to use different types of oil, knife skills, and tricks to cooking a perfect tenderloin are, in my option, valuable life skills.

I've taken cooking classes at other places in Dallas, but Garnish Kitchen is, by far, my favorite. A group of eight of us (Girls Day Out) learned all about French sauces from Chef Aaron. He was detailed in his explanations and answered all of our questions. The kitchen is fitted with high end appliances and cookware, and when it was our turn to make what had just learned about, he and Chef Jessica were attentive and helpful. An added bonus is how bright and welcoming the environment is. Highly recommend!
