Garson

Great food, friendly staff and very clean. My wife and I were in Houston on a business trip from Dallas. One of our friends recommended Garson restaurant. We are so glad we listened to our friend. Loved the restaurant, food and the atmosphere, not to mention the home made, fresh hot bread, made right as you get seated. We will definitely would go back.

My husband and I love this restaurant, and we bring our out of town visitors here too. The inside is decorated like a nice hotel restaurant. They have linens and fresh flowers on every table. We like the lunch menu but go for dinner sometimes on a Friday to see the belly dances. The staff is very hard-working, and the owner is super nice. My husband likes the lamb shank, and I like the ground chicken, lentil stew, and sour cherries. Also the freshly baked bread is served warm and soft. Their iced tea is very flavorful too. What's also pleasant is that there isn't a dress code: you can wear shorts and flip flops or go in a suit, and they will make you feel welcome and give you great service either way.

The food is also not the best. I would say my 3rd pick in the city. Food is consistent however, so if you love it, you will love it next time too. This restaurant has some modifications to make to its food to make it more authentic tasting. Staff are polite but services is really slow here. I think a better training by a professional can bring them up to an OK level. They don't check on you on a timely manner and you can not find them when you need something. After giving them many chances, I have finally decided to avoid this place as much as possible. If you don't care about bad service however, you should visit the place.

Absolutely love this place! Very attentive to detail and that's what separates good restaurants from other places. Been eating here whenever I can for a few years now. The atmosphere is nice, the staff is always pleasant, take my business meetings and clients to Garson all the time and they end up to going back for good food always. If you are in town looking for an Iranian restaurant I highly recommend it!

Average food horrible service. Lying seems to come very natural to the staff. It was a cold freezing day and the temperature inside was cold. We asked to see if they could adjust the heat a little bit. The manageress claimed both their heaters were on. On our way out we noticed the reading on the thermostat! It was 63 degrees and the heater was OFF. Once she was told about the thermostat reading on wall she then claimed their heating system was down! And I suppose once she realized she was caught in a lie she followed up with this BS, “ this is not like you are in your house... you are in a restaurant and temperatures are cold ”...! They also serve thawed desserts straight from the freezer with their “semi-warm” tea!
