I read some of the reviews on here and all you need to do is look at the peoples reviews on other things. I am glad that I came here. Sharon was so nice and so was the lady eye Examiner. Yes it’s a older building , but the reason why I came here for myself is because I am a RTC driver and I asked the people that I pick up how this place was. It was always positive.. that Review from that Brooklyn T lady almost had me not coming. But I looked at her other reviews and all was just horrible and negative. It’s like she had nothing better to do then to complain… For me I was very happy with the service and yes I am also very picky. The lady that tested my eyes knew a lot. I’ve been to tons of doctors with my eyes. Specialist so I know what to expect cause I had a rare cancer in my one eye. This eye doctor is Exceptional.

I’ve been coming here every year for nearly a decade now. The owner Sharon is always sweet and their inventory is the best. The doctor does a quick but thorough exam. It is always painless coming into GEM Optical.

I don't get my exams here, however, have been coming back for frames year after year. Small business, REAL PEOPLE, maybe a little too laid back for some, or too outspoken for others. They are a little out of the way, but I look forward to each annual visit. These ladies get the job done. In and out in no time. The small issues were always resolved. I pay cash, walk out feeling like I can afford to put gas in the car and buy food for the following week.

There are no words that I can articulate to properly Express the magnitude of the unprofessionalism,, unethical,, incompetent, behavior, Ive had to endure, dealing with this company. Level of disrespect is absurd. Is what my situation is with dealing with this company I made a eye doctor appointment with his company due to the fact that they took Medicaid, to get an eye exam and I brought my own frames so that I could get lenses fitted to them. Upon arrival they did not even have my appointment scheduled even though I had scheduled it a month in advance they had no knowledge of my appointment so therefore I had to make an appointment right then and there.at which time I explained to them that I had my own frames which I wanted lenses fitted into. Go ahead and instructed memy insurance company would be billed for. Therefore I selected a pair of frames off their wall I'm thinking nothing of it at the time. My glasses were supposed to be ready in one week, my appointment was on the 9th and I was supposed to have my glasses ready and picked up on the 16th I called on the 16th and they did not have my glasses tell me to call back the next day and so I did and they again told me they were not ready and they instructed me that they would call me when they were ready. I didn't hear back from them, so I called them, and she told be on Thursday however her delivery Man didn't deliver the glasses until Friday and so anyways I wasn't able to technically get them till Monday so Monday rolls around and I called down there and she tells on Monday that might order had been canceled which is completely absurd she tries to say that I canceled the order now mind you I've already been into this a month two months if you count when I waited for my appointment. I was floored so I had my insurance representative call down there and that is when the lady at gym optical tells my insurance that they were not even my frames but she didn't have them. No words they're just really are no words. I read another lady's review where she mentioned that there must be some sort of scam going on and I'm starting to believe that there's some sort of fraud or card game to this I do not know what this is but it is preposterous and this lady needs stopped do not do not give this lady your business you will not be happy this is the worst business practice I've ever ever encounter in my whole entire life. And not to mention they have a dog named Mercedes and if he's all over the place which is not good for medical place likean optometrist office you don't really think of them like doctors but technically they are however I will say that the that the optometrist that she's very professional and this in no way reflects upon her she is a stand-up character and suffant.

Great place to visit, and the negative reviews are trash. The lady at the front was nice and i had fun while getting my test done. Great prices too, my glasses are doing great, it's truly a gem hidden by garbage reviews written by garbage humans.

Best frames in town! Hands down this is the place you want to take care of your peepers. Fast an professional i do recommend them with the highest regard.

DO NOT ENTER. The owner Sharon will sell you glasses, she just won't realease them. Is it a resale scam or intense disrespect for customers? IT IS bad practice. The owner WILL NOT LISTEN or help you ONCE YOU PAID. DO NOT leave Gem Optical a deposit! Speaking to someone rude? Ask if she's the owner - Then remember these ALL CAPS - She IS the customer service, and she doesn't intend to help people.

The lady at front desk is very rude, If you ask anything else other then what "she" wants to do or what she "wants" to tell you, she gives you attitude and puts you on no sale list for eyeglasses. Very unprofessional, and a person like that should take classes for customer service or retire already. No manager to talk to, shame.

I went there before the gym and idk a lot about glasses so I was asking some questions and the two ladies at the counter made a comment “good thing you’re not a brain surgeon” very rude and uncalled for, I asked them questions in their profession, it’s not my profession. Costumer service wasn’t there.
