General Butler State Resort Park

The cabins are nice (2 bedroom 2 bathroom with common area, dining, and kitchen) and were clean when we arrived. The pool is a good size and they have a small pool for young children. There are also a couple of playgrounds for the kids. We were with a large party and did not directly interact with any service.

There was a mess up on our room. Had to get a second room. The price charged was wrong and we had to pay more. Our room was an improvement from the room we had the last visit. The employees were very friendly. The restaurant help was great and the food was good. We had a lady, Tonya, that was in charge of activities for us and she could not hav done a better job. In all we had a very nice 3 day 2 night stay.

We had imagined a sprawling state park... And it's not. It has a small lake with some nice trails around it. We took one of the trails. The first half was... Not impressive, but the back half through woods and some marshes was a lot of fun. Lots of deer tracks on the trail, too. Worth a visit, but it wasn't a huge wow.

My husband and I have been going to Two Rivers Restaurant for over 10 years and I'm sorry to say will never go back again after this last visit! We arrived at the restaurant around 5 p.m. for the dinner buffet there were only two other people in the restaurant we were seated and waited 10 minutes for a server to come to the table finally the lady that seated us told us to go ahead and get started at the buffet . Approximately 20 minutes later we did receive our drinks then we did order some bread which did not come for another 20 minutes. The food on the buffet was just sporadic it was like they just put out whatever they had nothing complimented each other and the flavoring of the food was very poor the salad bar was the only thing that we did enjoy but the dessert bar was absolutely the worst tasting food I have ever ate in my entire life the ice cream was soured and they had warm pudding and blackberry cobbler which they forgot to add sugar to it tasted like burnt cardboard smells we had to stand up and try to find our server so we could pay our check as we were walking tord the counter we were able to find her and pay our check! I'm so very disappointed I will never go back again! ! ! ! ! Please save your money don't go there

Great campground, nice restaurant. Only down side is lack of parenting which campground can not control. Children with no supervision on bikes be very careful when driving they continually darting out in front of traffic.
