I don’t have a dog but if I lived nearby I’d be tempted to get one as an excuse to come here more often. The large open fields are great for football, frisbee, and whatever else you can think of. Bring your kids, your dogs, and some sunscreen. Plan on staying for a while because there’s a lot to do and a lot to see here.

Owners of large dogs have no respect for anyone or any other dog. They don't care that their dogs are barking and up in your face & very scary... even more so the terror to the smaller dogs with this awful experience has no bearing on life to them at all even when asked to please control their dog. So when three or four really large dogs come up on your 35 pound dog is so so scary to him. They should have cameras out there and correct the people that are guilty of this intrusion. Also, equipment is ill maintained. The doors sometimes don't lock it all and if you're there by yourself that's not a good experience. Also, kids have come over there who aren't members with their dogs who are unruly. If they don't have the fob no big deal for this come in.

I wouldn't feel safe here once it gets dark. There's no lights on the walking trails, so it could get scary when walking back. The main parking lot has a lot of cracks in it. It'd be nicer if I could ride a skate/long board in the empty lot after people have left, to practice. I like seeing deer here around dusk in the open field the gravel track goes around. It's a little tiny, but ok for a quick limited time or for a family picnic.

The Bark Park at Sawyer Park is just great. There is a walking trail for two legged users and acres for the four legged to run in. There is lots of parking and rudimentary but serviceable bathroom facilities. Definitely my family's favorite Bark Park in Louisville

Tom Sawyer park is a beautiful place. Very relaxing park. It's open till 10pm. Great place to take a dog for a walk or just to walk around. There are many soccer fields, and different soccer teams play often. Also there's a recycling facility drop off point on site, which is nice.
