Unique glasses and while nearly everything is out of stock to purchase, it’s great you can come to gentlemen monster and try them all on before getting on the wait list. Feels part interactive museum art installation. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Gentle Monster consistently wows me with their creative store concepts, and my initial encounter in South Korea set the stage for continued admiration. The NYC store, in particular, excelled in presenting the essence of Gentle Monster. The staff, not only kind and pleasant, went above and beyond in assisting my wife in selecting her new glasses, adding a touch of personalized service to the overall experience.
Came in today for the new MUGLER collab launch to find no line!!! This location is stunning but what makes it even more special are the uberly kind and effortlessly cool staff. Sarah is always so warm and welcoming, and is incredibly knowledgeable about every frame on site. Susana rang me up for my purchase and had such good banter! it felt more like I was in the club having a ki w the girlie Honestky this store is an entire vibe and experience. Go see for yourself!!
I'm incredibly frustrated with my experience at Gentle Monster. I brought my GM Tega sunglasses to the store for repair. After GM sent the repaired sunglasses back via FedEx, they were never delivered to me. I've reported this issue to FedEx and tried to contact Gentle Monster multiple times over the past nine weeks through their website, but no one has ever gotten back to me. FedEx has closed the case, saying they can't help and suggested I contact the shipper. When I did, I was told GM can't do anything either. It would have been more honest to tell me this upfront instead of making me chase for an answer for the past 2 months. The sunglasses were not cheap + an additional $60 for the repair, you would think GM would have had some sort of insurance on it. Your customer service is severely lacking, especially given your price point. I strongly advise avoiding this place if you value customer support. I’d give it 0 stars if I could.
I was wondering why such a beautiful store has 3.9 review. After visiting today I understood. Not all of the stuff, but some of them really gave a negative vibe. I misplaced for a second the glass, and she came after me and rudely took the glasses away, haven’t even ask if I’m done trying them on. After that I felt very uncomfortable there. Products are beautiful, store is amazing. One star review for the stuff.
The store has fantastic decoration. I love mix media arts, so they do the good job displaying. My friend told me that this brand is so popular especially for Asian and I totally agree. Influencer, Youtuber or window shopper probably love this store. I like some of their design and the rest maybe they aren't my cup of tea. The price is a bit above average but with the design I couldn't complain. I don't get any service because the staff either chit chat with each other or don't want to puch customers at all so I walked around, tried some sunglasses, they didn't even bother me. The score I gave them is for the display and design of glasses so that was it.
my bf loves the style of these glasses, if you go in store there are many styles not available online and also online styles that are not available in store. its a big spacious artistic store with many styles for sunglasses and opticals. the workers were very friendly and helpful, in terms of lens quality from previous reviews I'd just get them done at a trusted store. most big glasses store charge a lot for prescription lenses, they have a whole section in the back with more glasses. these pictures only show the front of the store. expect to pay anywhere from 250-500 for a pair of glasses. we already have a big collection of glasses from here, and the cases they provide are great. especially great on Asian fit and fitting larger heads/faces if you prefer bigger glasses. very happy we were able to visit this store and leave with a purchase looking forward to the 2022 collections and cases! in terms of covid restrictions, there were no lines and we did not have to wait to get inside, there were probably 10-20 people walking around in the store
The staff at this store- the front of house staff specifically, are rude and lack professionalism. Having visited Gentle Monster in South Korea, I was excited to explore this location and try on some sunglasses- perhaps even purchase a pair because I love the pair I bought in Seoul so much. However, the rude, condescending attitude of the staff entirely ruined the experience and made me want to exit the store almost immediately. I recommend just purchasing online and avoiding this location unless you know exactly what you want and are ready to go right in and purchase it with minimal staff interaction.
It’s a very cool store, I visited there several times but never known that it has a such big space hidden in the back! The staff was welcoming and my wife and I had fun exploring their collection as well as enjoying the art installation. The design of the store was very futuristic as well as some of their collection. We both love their shades and decided to get one!
Love this location in Soho. Everyone who works here is helpful and friendly shoutout to Jacob! but this review is specifically for Susanna who is a real gem of a human that went above and beyond! She spent 15 minutes trying to adjust a pair of frames for my face and reassured me that if the fit wasn't perfect, there was no pressure to purchase. Her gentle demeanor and desire to provide the absolute best service will keep me around as a customer for life. If you manage this location, give her a raise!!
