Gilbert Indoor Range

I have a medium amount of experience, but took a friend who had never shot before to the beginner class. Highly recommended. Andrew was a great instructor and tried to make it fun while giving us good safety instructions and tips for proper stance, grip, etc. the range itself was well equipped and easy to use.

The beginners gun safety class is an absolute must if you don’t have any prior experience. My wife and I took this course and got out 15 min ago. It’s informative, thorough and ensure you feel comfortable and safe on the range. Andrew was an awesome instructor and knows his stuff. Side note the class is a great deal as well and we plan on taking full advantage of the week free of range time as well as the free rental. Can’t wait to come back

Well, where do I start. As a Retired Navy Officer, 25 years in, and I tried for 2+ weeks to get in touch with the owner of Gilberts.......... Needless to say, today I was told that he was finally in but didn't want to take my call. What? Really? What kind of Moron doesn't want to talk to a business owner who is trying to bring MORE business to them? And, with all my connections to the Military, I hope that every Wounded Warrior NEVER sets foot in his establishment. I own a firearms training company in the local area and really just wanted to talk about bringing customers there to train them........ I guess I'll go where people are treated with respect, calls are returned, people are polite, and veterans are REALLY respected. How unfortunate that people are still uncivilized in this world! My advice, go elsewhere and shoot. There's too many great places to shoot and this isn't one of them.

Great range with great customer service.I've been a member at Gilberts now for about 5 months.I've also been a member at the 2 other ranges located in Frederick.Gilberts hands down offers the best value for 1/3 of the price of those other ranges.I just participated in the defensive handgun course which Andrew was the instructor.If I could give 10 stars I would.This guy knows weapons training.I highly recommend this range to all friends and family members.

If I could give a half star I would. When my wife, brother-in-law, and I walked in the building they were not welcoming. I stated I read online that we could pay for training so that we could use the indoor range. They could only offer excuses why we could not shoot instead of what we need to do to shoot. The guys were sarcastic, negative, and disrespectful. He implied that I did not know how to use a weapon. I rebutted that I am in the military and would be willing to take any training here to use the range. One guy responded the military were the worst. After too much time going back and forth, they offered no clear answers so we left. I felt some hostility from the guys there that could stem discrimination based on many reasons. Whichever the case, I DO NOT recommend this place at all. They do not deserve your business!
