Online is the easiest way to buy but it doesn't replace the experience of trying that things that you want. This is big store and very convenient location for people on DC. They have some variety of products. The store is very easy to navigate. I'm not sure if I'm happy with the bike section. The patio in the middle of the store is nice but not a lot people use it. Overall is great and convenient.

I love this store. Every time I go in, the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, whether it's finding the right shoes for a specific activity or trying out cots and backpacks. My only complaint is that I want everything there! They are great about taking things back that don't work out too. I bought a pair of hiking shoes that felt great in the store but caused horrible blisters after I walked about a mile in then, so I would never have known trying them on. They took them back and helped me find a better pair. They have good sales and the member dividend is awesome.

Nice people. Spent a lot of time helping my girlfriend understand various bikes. Once she had one or two she liked she test ride them for 15 minutes on a nearby bike trail (protected path, no cars). Took the time to install her bike rack. When we noticed the rack wasn't level they adjusted it for free.

Large store with a great supply of outdoor gear (no hunting gear). Mostly bicycles, camping, hiking etc. Parking is hard to find. Maybe some additional signage would help. I ended up using the metered parking on an adjacent street which wasn't a problem after I figured out where the parking meter machine was and how to feed it.

Was just going there to see about a defective product. Then waiting in line at Customer Service I saw that an event with food was about to start. The c.s. desk said they would be open until closing, so I attended it which was a film sponsored by the Patagonia line. This was well worth it. Afterwards the desk help had to have a manager come look at the coat which had one of the zippers stuck. Then I was given the full price which I had paid for it towards another coat. This means memberships do help.
