Gingerbread Mansion Inn

Off the path of the 101, this brightly colored B&B can be seen from the main drag of the tranquil town. The bed was tall, needing a step stool to get in, but I slept like royalty. Our innkeeper, cook and hostess was very jovial and anticipated our needs. The house itself is amazing and well kept. When we drive the coast again, we will return.

This was our first time staying at the Gingerbread Mansion Inn and we will definitely be back! The staff is so friendly and welcoming and the rooms are to die for. You can't beat the views and the atmosphere. My fiance and I stayed here over the past weekend (we checked in the day he proposed actually) and it added to an already very special weekend. We will be return guests for years to come, no question! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because in our particular room there was no hot water in the shower for some reason and that was a bit of a nuisance. But the building is old, you've got to expect some quirks. And the hot water worked everywhere else so we weren't in too much trouble. :-) We will definitely be back!

Beautiful restored Victorian mansion. Dressed up inside and out with period pieces. Wonderful breakfast and happy hour. Friendly welcoming staff.

This place is amazing -- even if you're not into the time period of old Victorians. The building has been refurbished extremely well -- modern bathrooms in the rooms -- many things are in excellent condition or new. It really gives you a sense for the time period. And, it's super trippy if you're a little buzzed. Breakfast is excellent -- highly recommend. A block walk from downtown Ferndale -- which is a totally cool town with some very good restaurants.
