AMAZING place tucked away from the rest of the restaurants in the scene. We got the Goji Combo which was a big sampler of all the veggie & meat options and man, was that incredible. Tacked on 2 orders of the Veggie Sambussas which were incredible. And for all of that, the prices were more than reasonable. Service was so sweet and we can’t wait to go back and bring people in the door!
Nice staff and cozy welcoming restaurant! The area might turn you off to this place but the food here is really worth the try! I will say it was a bit warm inside the restaurant but not really to worried about that! I would recommend giving this place a try if you like authentic Ethiopian! I enjoyed the coffee a lot and we liked the Gojo combo as wel!
What a wonderful gem. This family owned restaurant was clean, well lit, comfortable, and offered both traditional and American styled seating. The food was fantastic. My friend grew up eating Ethiopian food, and this was his 2nd time in one week. The drink was served in the traditional glass, and my table was very impressed with the smoothness of the flavors. Staff were wearing face coverings, and were professional and friendly. If you've never tried it, give it a go. Don't be afraid or intimidated. They can answer all of your questions.
Very good authentic Ethiopian food. I got the meat combo and the veggie combo, along with 1 order of veggie samosas. One star deducted because there was no soap in the bathroom, just hand sanitizer, and the injera was cold rather than warm. I would still definitely come back, the food was great! I especially liked the beef wot, and the red and green lentils.
Just had a delicious lunch here with our family. The vegetarian and meat combos are both equally fantastic. Yummy! The coffee was excellent and the salad was fresh. Try the sambosas too- what a great appetizer. You will love the food at this place! Service was friendly and helpful if you have any questions about the food. This is a hidden gem worth driving to!
Excellent excellent food! I had the veggie platter with all their veggie offerings and every single dish was spiced really well. Even the string beans!! Super delicious! The chef has magic in their hands! Just such well made homemade food. Yum!
Very authentic Ethiopian food. One of the best I've had. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian plate and combo plate.
Arrived as they were closing on Thanksgiving night but invited us in and served us a delicious meal. One of the most authentic Ethiopian food in a while... home-made feel and wonderful service. Ended up getting to-go for next days road trip to Grand Canyon
My first try at Ethiopian food. They had sampler plates of meats and/or veggies. All was tasty. I see they must get busy in evenings and have music w small dance floor for weekends.
I grew up in Ethiopia/Eritrea and have eaten at numbers of Ethiopian restaurants around the country. Gojo's is the best! We had early Christmas and chose to do pick up from Gojo's for our celebration. The service was great, prices were great, portions generous, and food amazing... We had plenty of leftovers Intentionally and I have eaten it 4 days in a row! Fairly new to Phoenix Area so had intended to try all Ethiopian restaurants... but I need look no further or try any others.
