The owners were absolutely amazing. I went to 12 other jewelers looking for a cross for my goddaughter's baptism. Not only did they have exactly what I needed, they had many options. The owner was so kind, understanding, friendly, and helpful. Not only did they have the cross, but they had an 18 inch chain, but I needed at 14 inch. He didn't just alter it, he created an additional loop so it was adjustable and my goddaughter could grow with it. Absolutely amazing! I don't think I've had a better experience, esp after going to so many others. Thank you for being so great!

Wouldn't recommend. I went here looking to sell some gold because my dad had sold jewelry here recently and gotten great prices. Was given a quote for half what my gold was worth and when I asked if he could explain how he got to that number I was told "young lady this is how it works. You bring it we give you a number you either say yes or you go". As if I wouldn't know he was trying to make a 50% profit off me. Brought it somewhere else the next day and made twice as much.

Probably a slightly unusual review, but I had to express my appreciation to the gentleman who served my fiancée and me last week! I had just proposed in Central Park, but the ring purchased elsewhere was slightly too large. I found Gold Mine Jewelers after a quick google search and we headed straight over to see whether they would have a temporary fix to make the right fit better before we got home UK-based. We explained the situation to the gentleman who served us apologies I didn't catch your name! and not only was he very welcoming and friendly, but offered his congratulations to us, before providing a device that ensured the ring fitted a lot better. On top of this, the gentleman provided this service "on the house" as it was our special day! This gesture was so thoughtful and much appreciated, and you are now a part of our special day together when we tell family and friends our story. Thank you again!

Absolutely love this place!! First off, the owners are amazing! They’re friendly, helpful, fast and really know what a person wants. Secondly, They designed and made my engagement ring and it was exactly what I wanted and just absolutely gorgeous. All of their jewelry is just beautiful. We are now in the process of shopping for wedding rings made by them. They also understood my daughters sensitive ears and made sure she had earrings that were beautiful, age appropriate and would not hurt her ears. This is and will be the only place we will go for jewelry. Thank you!

I just had the most wonderful experience here. I had three watch batteries replaced and all* of the staff couldn't have been more kind. They were also very fair in price. I've watched them have to board up their windows a couple of times in the chaos of the last few months; like all stores, I'm sure it's been difficult to stay afloat. Places like these are why I live on the Upper West Side. We must support them however we can.

Totally shameful business practices. I had come in because one of their other businesses, a nail salon uptown, went out of business. I was stuck with a $35 dollar gift certificate that I bought for my wife for Valentine's Day. They said they would honor it at the jewelry store. I went in to get two batteries replaced on my watches. The young lady asked the older lady, who I assume is managing or owning the place, how much it would be. She first mumbled $16. When I asked her to clarify, she said it was $18. That would be $36 for two watches. This is ridiculously expensive you can get your battery replaced for $5 elsewhere, but I did it anyways because the certificate was otherwise useless. When the watch was done she said "you owe me $5 then you're done". I said, "but you said it was $36". Then, she pulls out a calculator, pretending like she needs it to do the math, and the she just lets me go. Will never come here again I do not recommend this place for anyone.

Very considerate staff and great job resizing my wedding ring . Would definitely recommend . They also polished the ring and it looks better than ever ! Thanks Gold Mine !

Everyone I spoke to was very nice, informative, and respectful. It was clear from the other customers in the store that they have many clients who come back regularly, which must mean they do great work!
