Goodnow Hill Apartments

Wall unit Ac was repaired yet still blowing only fan like air. Called emergency maintenance they placed a portable AC that not blowing cold air. My house is 92 degrees simply unacceptable! 08/09/22 We had temps reach 104 degrees today ! Here we are once again. Come home from a long day at work and my ac isn’t working correctly! I shouldn’t have to wait until night to do house task! Portable Ac is not blowing cold air. I’m so sick of it!

i lived there for 3 years . It was a quiet neighborhood . But there is a mice problem . Its out of control. I purchased so many mouse trap sticky pads , for a good reason didn't get a discount. Staff in the Leasing office were nice and tried to help, but they couldn't do magic in this case !!

I’ve been here for almost 2 years. I think it’s a great apartment to start off in. This is my first apartment living by myself and I love it. Water and basic cable are included. Half way through my 1 year lease, they sent me a lease for a cheaper price. The central AC/heat is wonderful. I had one issue with roaches and they gave me a 3 part treatment... I no longer have that issue. The unit itself is pretty basic/standard. But I love the large bedroom and closet space. Maintenance is always on point! Our groundskeeper is a sweet person. It always smells nice after he cleans. I stopped using the washer/dryer downstairs in our apartment. I didn’t particularly care for it. The leasing office is terrible at Goodnow, however, Parkside across the street handles all of Regional Management’s businesses... they are open after other leasing offices normally close. Very convenient if you accidentally lock yourself out. The only other issue I would have is the way that the windows and balcony’s are sealed... water gets through my window if it rains heavy. I have an active alarm system, the building has a lock code to get in. The buildings are very old... and you get what you pay for. The rent is cheap and I think it’s a pretty decent place to live.

DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I live on the bottom floor & these apartments are bug/spider infested, it doesn’t matter what corner i look in there is always a spider. Not only that THERE IS MOLD ALL THROUGH THE WALLS. My bathroom ceiling almost caved in because they have pipe issues & guess what MOLD IN THE CEILING. Nothing about these apartments is up to date so do not believe them when they tell you it is. Walls are so thin to the point that i can hear the lady above me coughing. These apartments have so many problems the only good thing is when i call maintenance they do respond. This is my 3rd apartment & its the worst

A starter apartment. Reasonable rates. Neighborhood is not very welcoming. Staff is nice however the manager BILL was nasty,lost and ineffective with my rental issues. Maintenence was 50/50 in responding and fixing issues. My A/C broke and it took several days waiting on a new unit after I was told my unit was old and outdated. They were nice enough to lend me an a/c until the unit came which was what I commend them for. I had a mouse issue and roach issue soon while living here and I must say there exterminating services are poor. Another issue here is that the rental office and Regional Management are never in sync with tenant accounts. I advice you to speak with Regional Management concerning your rent balance. I spent 3 years here and my overall experience is you get what you pay for. My exit was a long dragged out process. I don't recommend moving here.

Staff in office were really nice. Maintenance is not an issue. My only issue is the noise over top of my head at night when I'm trying to sleep because I have to get up 4:30 in the morning. Kids swinging on entry door and building not being cleaned. After working 11 hrs at work and come home to a mess in the hallway and on steps is ridiculous I cleaned it up. I don't live in filth and the people seem ok with it not me I'm a very clean person. Not sure I will renew my lease if this continues. Maybe I'll move to another building with less noise and kids.

Big rooms, nice carpets, and rent is ok I guess but it increases yearly. Much better than Winston apartments. Don’t ever choose Winston apartments, no matter what security deposit deal they have.

Giving 3 stars here. Close to local bus lines, friendly neighborhood, Staff were very nice. My only issue concerning me is their communication between the company and their residents and how proactive they should be when tending to certain rental issues. An incident occurred on the outside of our apartment where not only where the outside of our unit was effected but the inside as well, needed major work done to the wall. They seemed on top of things when the incident took place but about 4 days after didn't hear much from matainence, the apartment staff or anything on what was to go from there. Once you make a call to matainence about needing a replacement for A/C or heat, or something that you know could effect you sadly having to make a phonecall everyday just about to ask when the problem will be resolved is alarming especially when you have children and it could effect our daily task as well... overall the apartments, staff, neighborhood, & commute were pretty good ist the issues with communication between them and their residents lack when called in to resolve am issue in the household that requires work from matainence.

I HATE IT HERE!!! There's ALWAYS something wrong. Maintenance is in my apartment as much as I am. Can't wait to move out! Update: 3.9.2020 Okay. So even though I have had issue after issue, I do appreciate that they have all been taken care of.
