Worst apartments ever , black mold , mice and poor service from workers never come to fix anything, landlord is a rude ignorant woman, even the vents had mold in them. Living here will literally put you in the hospital.dumpsters are always filled from people that don’t live there dumping trash, trash all in the parking lot . No parking spots , stairs in the buildings always smell musty ,all mailboxes are broken Crazy rent prices for a terrible apartment. Do not come here. If I could give this 0 stars I would do that.

We signed a lease to move in on December 1st of 2021 a month in advance with a previous property management company. A week before we were due to move in, Rushmore Property Management, MD bought the property. When I arrived to pay my cashiers check and tour the apartment on Nov 29th, no one would answer the phone, no one would answer the door, and no one would speak with me. Caryn Fisher- Regional Manager for all properties owned by Rushmore Management in the state of Maryland told us a day and a half prior to what was supposed to be our move in date that we would not be able to move in on the date written on the lease we signed. When asked what the management company would do about the situation in regards to housing, Caryn said, "There is nothing that we can do." When asked if the company would accommodate lodging and storage, we were told that the company would not accommodate our basic needs and legal rights as human beings. I specifically asked Caryn Fisher if this was illegal and she shrugged her shoulders. I specifically asked Caryn if I should expect to be sleeping on an empty lot in my car with my boyfriend and two cats with a pile of all of my belongings outside/ around the car and she shrugged her shoulders again. She tried to blame the old property management company, but did not seem to understand that her company assumes all liabilities as well as contracts when buying the property, making it THEIR problem. If I happen to be incorrect about this matter I would be happy to read through the paperwork. I went ahead and researched every property the company owns within Maryland Caryn’s specific region she is supposed to be managing and saw an overwhelming amount of reviews about the following: 1. Mice, roaches, and insects 2. Leasing office not answering their phones 3. Leasing office locking their door and not answering the door 4. Maintenance not attending to needs such as heat in the winter, build ups of dust and mold, as well as reports of residents falling ill due to having no heat in the winter for over 2 weeks. These happen to be some of the exact same experiences I had with Caryn the day she told me I would not be able to move into my apartment due to negligence on her part. She locked the door, did not answer the phone, ignored our emails, and did not speak with us until after we jumped through hundreds of hoops to get her attention. Thanks Caryn and everyone else at Rushmore Management for your inhumane, illegal, and absolute disgusting way of treating human beings.
Mice and black mold in the ventilation. Lady in the rental office does not know what she is doing. She is very ignorant if you prove her wrong she tells you to leave. This place is infested with black mold in the ventilation room and there has been nonstop mice running across the floor at night. And there is never any parking.
STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN! This place is ridden with mice. From the day I moved in I had mice in my apartment who inhabited the place before I did. Despite how clean I have kept the place they do not go away and could not be caught. Mice in the bed rooms, kitchen counters and stove top. Absolutely disgusting. My children are afraid to stay here as we have seen too many mice run threw the house while we are awake and active! They own the place! Despite reaching out to the leasing office and having the “exterminator” here weekly, nothing has changed. The leasing office refused to accommodate my family by allowing us to transfer to another community. This place does NOT feel like home for me or my children. But more like a ratty motel that we are forced to live in. I wish I would have done better research before signing a lease with this place. There are so many reviews about PESTS! The hallways are left full of trash as well as the outside grounds which doesn’t help the problem. Dumpsters are always overflowing .The neighbors are loud and smells from their apartment seeps into yours . I have strongly considered breaking my lease. Maintenance does not respond to requests, as I have been calling about an oversized toilet lid that falls over when you flush for months hazardous to my children. I WILL NEVER LIVE AT ANOTHER WPM PROPERTY AGAIN, nor do I recommend it to anyone who wants to live with some decency. This place is not somewhere you can call home. STAY AWAY! Stay away!! GET OUT!!!
When I moved in my kitchen cabinets had painted over mouse feces, there was the last tenants trash between my bathroom vanity and the wall, the bathtub was chipped they didn't even take the time to refinish it before I moved in, the kitchen floor had built in non removable dirt and on top of all that there was urine on my toilet seats. To make all of that worse, I told them if my apartment wasn't ready I would wait an additional 2 weeks. Instead of taking me up on my offer they chose to give me a NASTY apartment. This apartment was the worse apartment I have ever had!!!!!!!!! The maintenance team is rude and lazy!!!!!!!!!!! They have a mouse problem and the neighbors are noisyif I could I would post the several videos I have demonstrating the noise they make at 2:30a.m. I really wish they had the option for me to upload them.!!!!!!!!! Oh, and let me not leave out the part about the neighbors hanging on the front step and you have to push through them to get to your apartment. This complex is nasty and ghetto!!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!
a security system was installed in all the main entrance doors to the apartments and that is very good, but now the problem is the orders of purchases that we make over the internet since those who work all day 7 days a week as it is the case of my family we can not go personally to the stores to buy so we opted for the internet. We have never had problems with this before and we have 3 years living there. now in the little time we have with security, there are already 2 lost packages the tenant of another apartment grabs it or they never leave it. We need a solution to this problem Urgent
Wouldn't recommend to anyone!!! I live on the basement floor and every time it rains the patio fills with water and the water comes in the apartment from under the patio door. You would think when it rains they would come check on this apartment, call or do something. But nothing. When it rained again about a week ago, I called the leasing office no one answered. Left messages no one called me back, so I literally had to walk to the leasing office myself just for the young lady to tell me she got busy. They claim this happens from that last big rain we had, but the floor was so rotted it buckled, the wall has detorrated so badly it is no longer connected to the floor. the rain has always been coming inside going under the subfloor and carpet padding. On 8/31/18 it rains again, so call the emergency number and after 2 hours someone finally comes just to say he can't do anything but push my furniture to one side again and maybe a restoration personnel will come out sometime later in the week. I've talked to maintenance, the property manager and the regional manager and still nothing. My BGE is constantly being used up to run their machines to dry the carpet, my blinds have to be left wide open while the machines are running, I live alone on the bottom floor which leaves me as a Target to be broken into since everyone in the world can see through my whole apartment. You would think they would follow up ask questions when it rains or afterwards, but nope too much like right. This isn't a priority to them. I rent a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath for $1065 a month. Since this problem, I have been sequestered to just my bedroom because every time my furniture has to be pushed to just one side of the room, which I refused to do tonight. Before this problem, my neighbors above me would scale the walls like animals to get to the second floor instead of using the front door like normal people, smoke weed all night, party on the balcony blasting music all night, play soccer in the house and so much more. Every other week my bathroom sink is completely stopped up. For 6 months my bathroom ceiling would leak and create a horrible mess all over the floor, maintenance came and the ceiling was open to see all the rot and mold in between the ceiling of my apartment and the floor of the apartment above for 3 months. Issue after issue, not sure why I'm still here smh. I moved to this apartment from next door because the people above kept stuffing beans down the bathroom sink and kept flooding that apartment. Lost a whole closet full of shoes as a result. When I moved from next door, was told they would give me a new refrigerator and stove, since the maintenance guy had to take this one from the last apartment I moved from. But the staff has changed and the second property manager said she would make it still happen since she was the receptionist at the time of the first request, but then she left. Of course no one relaid information to the current staff, so that was a done deal. From time to time, you come out your apartment early morning or late night and there are people sleeping in the hallway under the stairs, so I'm assuming that's why they have those empty water colors under there now. Yes they offered to move me yet again for a third time to a new apartment, but into the second parking lot and that whole end is a disaster in itself, and if I'm moving to another parking lot, I might as well keep moving to a whole new property. Long story short, no I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone. I suggest you run as fast as you can, not worth your time or the money. The place is a huge joke!! I have lived here for a year now and I have had my problems with apartment. However the staff in the leasing office has been great to me. Lauren and Ester are great. When I had a problem or issue with anything they go above and beyond to resolve my issue. They are the main reason why I am still living here.
