The staff working there were really friendly even though they had a long line of people waiting. I assume it was because it's Christmas time that it was busy, but still had a good experience here. Some reviewers complaining about prices have numerous reviews complaining about prices at other establishments. I don't like the prices of a Corvette, doesn't mean I'm gonna leave a bad review for a dealership. If you don't like the prices just don't buy.
I hate to see how downhill Goodwill has gone. No bagging or boxing solutions, no cart return in the parking lot, overcharging, donation workers who berate you for wanting to keep the box, and an overall gross, rigid environment. It has become so against the spirit of thrift that it’s such a downer to donate and shop there. There are so many amazing thrift stores in Albuquerque that are cleaner, less expensive, higher quality, and don’t support a bastardized corporation. Aside from ethical reasons, the store and location itself is unimaginative and poorly managed. :
Location is following all covid safety protocols. Great location, very clean, well lit, lots of space. Items are reasonably priced. Staff are all friendly and knowledgeable.
This was my favorite Goodwill in Albuquerque until today’s experience. I found a few great items I was so excited about a cute blazer I found, I didn’t check the tag since I was not worried about the price I would’ve taken it regardless of the price. When I was paying the cashier told me it did not have a tag and they snatched it away from me. I told her I really wanted it and I could wait if they needed to get a price for it but they said no and took it away. Seriously? People donate these items to you, you would not have lost out on money if you would’ve just added a price I would’ve payed for it. They told me I could come back tomorrow for it if it was still there. Like really your going to make me drive all the way back there for something you could’ve just fixed then and there. Worst customer service! Fix it!!
Because this goodwill is in a very good location, alot of the idems are designer or brand new with tags. Our community donates and we shop there also. I stopped shopping elsewhere because goodwill usually had it for half the price. And I am helping out community by shopping there as well as donating. All the people who work there are very nice and helpful. Its my go to place to shop lately. I also have donated alot of designer, high end clothing and house goods that I was over. It goes towards helping other people get retrained and back into the work force! Such a great program. I am happy to donate and shop there. This is a great place to shop.
They have a nice clean store but the prices are no longer Goodwill prices and thier shelves were pretty empty in the knick knack and kitchen area.
I buy things from the store almost weekly. Today one of the cashiers decided she was having a bad day and wanted to take it out on me; she yelled and verbally abused me for waiting at the register. Then she pulled down her mask and began approaching me inches away in the aisle. She demanded I leave the store and started screaming at me. I don't know what her problem is but this should all be on the security camera and I can tell you the other customers waiting with me were shocked. This is 6 p.m. on Saturday July 16th, 2022 I won't be back because this woman actually made me fear for my safety. I was secretly hoping that security or the police would be called due to her extreme craziness. Goodwill needs to vet their employees much better at this location. I will never return here because of what happened today.
I absolutely love Goodwill some of the best scores have been found here there are some weird price discrepancies like I found a drone here that it was the exact same price brand new at Target but they had it at Goodwill for the same price so I don't know other than weird stuff like that you know for the most part you can get clothes furniture all kinds of dirt cheap this is a great location it's right off of paseo you can see it from paseo not that big a parking lot but there's enough room
Prices have gone back to manageable. Great selection
Clothes and housewares focused, not a lot of furniture. Pretty average for a goodwill as far as selection but it is orderly, clean and the staff is nice.
