The best golf course in town with friendly staff, endless amenities and top notch culinary delights with array of drink options. It's a home away from home.
We're from out of town and golfed at the GF CC the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. They told me when I called a couple days prior to our tee time that the back 9 was closed due to flooding but we could go around the front twice. When we showed up the told me they had a semi 18 open but it was playing as a par 66. They charged me full price but the back 9 was not good at all. Lots of mud and they shortened holes to par 3's by having you skip the first couple hundred yards of a par 4 or 5 and then they put temporary tee boxes on the side of the fairway usually on a 10 degree side slope. Plus, they had just punched and sanded the greens which they should have told us - or waited until after Memorial Day weekend to do. The greens rolled terribly. I understand the flooding and the challenges it presents the GF CC but they really should have let us go around the front twice like they told me on the phone or reduced the green fees but they did neither.
Coming from the Twin Cities I can say that this course is on par with my local courses, it is super well maintained, the clubhouse is nice, the food at the clubhouse is absolutely amazing Even from the basement and the members and staff are nice. I really enjoyed the time I golfed here as it is the one place in this entire area with nice scenery from many hills, a nice stream to the large trees that surround the course it makes me forget that I live in a giant flatland for a bit. 10/10 would recommend.
Both bartenders were excellent during our first official visit as new members! Not only did they mix great drinks but they were very friendly and informative about the club. We had such a pleasant time visiting with both of them.
As a family, we enjoy numerous things about the Grand Forks Country Club. The course itself is beautiful and well maintained - we love golfing as a family, for a date night, in special events, or on Men's or Ladies nights. The food is wonderful as the chef creates some amazing dishes! The staff are all personable and helpful, in the clubhouse and on the course. Our kids love the pool, the junior golf program, and all the special family functions that are planned throughout the year. We love being members at GFCC!
I find the Grand Forks Country Club an outstanding golfing experience. From the General Manager "Doug" the Club Pro "Mike" and the entire staff they go the extra mile to make your golfing experience most rewarding. The course is always in excellent shape, and I enjoy the fact tee times are available seven days a week. Foy Cox
This is one place to avoid...no one knows what is going on. Last year we booked a game for 8 of us on the way to Bemidji. When we arrived there was a tournament on. The person in charge apologized and said "We had a chance to host a tournament" We booked again this week don't ask me why and when they got there the person working said they were putting top dressing on the greens. When we asked why they didn't tell us the day before when we confirmed he said "I didn't know it was happening today". When we asked for our money back he didn't know how to refund to a credit card. I recommend Kings Walk....capable friendly and a nice course
I became a member of the GFCC in 2009 when I was married. Being new to the area personally the GFCC has been the place I have met almost all of my friends and business contacts. I am personally not a true "golfer", but even I appreciate the beauty of the course even when I hit a bad shot! The Club House offers many space both indoors and outdoors to host or attend a wide variety of events. The staff at the GFCC is EXCELLECT, they are polite and helpful at all times. The Executive Chef is AMAZING at creating a wide variety of tempting dishes for any palette AND the club offers public dining during the winter-spring seasons I would highly recommend anyone new to the Grand Forks area or a current resident looking for a fun experience and a place to meet friends to drive out to the Grand Forks Country Club, you will be glad you did!
Played once. Manager was very nice. Accidentally left a sand wedge on the course and no one turned it in. Considering this place consists of mostly members I wont be one. That was my favorite wedge.
This course is phenomenal. The grounds were the best of any course I’ve ever played. Give a huge raise to the head of the grounds, immediately!
