Great dim sum place. Food was delicious and price was lovely, <$70 for a group of 4. We arrived at 2pm on Saturday, no wait and got a table immediately. At a dim sum place you’d expect staff carrying food carts walking around tables. This is the NORM given how ignorant a review prior to me was. Items we loved the most: , it was so good and pretty we ordered twice the dark grey buns in the pic. Great to grab a quick bite before we headed to the karaoke next door.
One of the better dim sum places in Flushing. The place is newly fitted - feels much cleaner than other restaurants. Food was above average - large selection, steaming hot when it’s served, tastes great. Service was good too. Nothing to complain about!
Bad service, server never come check on customer to see if we need anything else. All the person who push the food csrt are non english speaker so it hard to tell them what we need. Does this place only concentrate on chinese customer or what? Dim Sum was good but overall need to change the way serve customer..
Traditional way serve Cantonese Dimsum Prices and services was fair Many choices of Dimsum Right at the Flushing main station
I like this place. I arrived with 2 of my friends around 1pm on a Sunday and was seated almost right away. The tables are great for small groups so you don't have to worry about communal dining. There's great variety in dim sum options like this jelly taro ball I'd never seen before and it wasn't as hectic as some of the places I've been to before in Chinatown. Price seems average about $18 for a meal including tip that served as lunch and dinner. The only downside is that it takes a little while to get your check.
I don’t ever write reviews but I’m so disappointed. I went in there to order a century egg and pork congee. I was charged $6.25 for a container that was filled to the halfway mark. Century egg and pork congee should cost that much for the bigger container ones and even then that price tag is still debatable. Unless I’m mistaken and they age the eggs in housewhich I’m almost certain they do not what they’re charging is unacceptable. Asian Jewel down by Prince Street is a way superior dim sum restaurant. Be warned, this restaurant may look nice but it’s a cash grab.
So people aren't wrong about the fact that it's hard to get service there. You have to physically track down the ladies pushing the carts if you want food, which is a bit annoying but manageable. As for the food, it's delicious and well-made. I love the crispy taro balls and beef ribs. It's a pretty big place and it's pretty with the chandeliers. Bathrooms have plenty of stalls and we went around 10am and there was no wait.
Been here a few times, food is good and it seems newer/nicer than most places. However, while waiting for my daughter to finish in the restroom on a busy day last month, I observed no less than 12 people including 3 food-handling employees leave without washing their hands. A few passed their fingers under the water for 2-3 seconds, but the first person to actually touch the soap in the entire time I was waiting was my 5-year-old daughter. I was so grossed out I couldn’t even eat anything else. Be warned.
Wow; having read the sub-3-star reviews, I felt obligated to post something positive about their dim sum. This place is THE best spot in Flushing-- hands down. Excellent selection, mostly contemporary Hong Kong style with plenty of old-school classics various tripe and innards-based treats. Their sweets alone are amazing and cover the entire spectrum of fried, baked, steamed and chilled. Ingredients and execution are both relatively high; so nearly everything tastes as good as it looks. Plus, the venue is enormous and centrally located-- much easier to manage logistically with big groups as anyone who lives here knows; Flushing is a veritable zoo on the weekends. The evening restaurant fare is above average at best in terms of quality vs. price. But if you are looking for solid dim sum, this is the current stand-by. * Dim sum is an entirely different format for brunch; expect crowds, the occasional "bad spot" of a table, and not every dish will be available every time you go. But I have hosted an event there and do agree that they have a decent booking process but are weak on execution relative to other places in Flushing. Unpolished is my nice way of summarizing it...
Came here for a company Christmas Party and considering I am not a huge fan of Dim Sum I thought the food was pretty good. The location is above a mall and it can be a bit confusing finding it. We walked through a karaoke place before we actually found our party. I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere as it seems pretty authentic as far as decor and food goes. If you are not a fan of dim sum then this is likely not a spot for you.
