have seen American Gothic painting before but didn't know about the painter, Grant Wood. it was a great experience to learn about the artist.

Fascinating little place where Grant Wood lived and painted. He was brilliant in converting what was basically just a hay loft into a very efficient living space. It gave me a new understanding of the person behind such famous paintings as American Gothic.

Most see in Cedar Rapids. Grant Woods is one of America's Outstanding Painter's. The staff does a fantastic job of sharing his life story. Located behind the future History Center in the John B Turner Home.
