Great Salt Lake Marina

Beautiful place, really there was no bugs no issues just a beautiful evening.

We read reviews about the smell, the flies and the brine shrimp and went anyway. We were pleasantly surprised. The smell was like a lake in the summer, the flies were abundant but not pesty and don't bite, and the shrimp are so small you could miss them. The beach was close to the water, so not much walking. There is a nice lookout point, but the best part is experiencing the way you float in the water when swimming - it's impossible to sink! Showers outside to rinse off when done, and the restrooms were satisfactory. We had a great time knocking this off our bucket list!

There's not much here to see but a lookout over the lake. Beautiful view with signs describing what you see in the distance. This is mostly a park for boaters who launch their craft. Bathrooms are available as well as a visitor center. Staff inside are helpful and friendly. When you enter there's a cash payment of $3 that you leave in an envelope but that may be for boaters only. Free parking I think is available for non-boaters.

You need to pay $3 for parking. Not pricy, but I'm kinda being fooled to pay for it. When get to the entrance, I saw a stop sign and was wondering am I in the wrong way. The gate keeper waved hand and ask me to go inside. So I proceed and he asked for $3 when I'm already at the position where I cannot back up any more. When I questioned about it, he forced me to pay and used the F word! That was incredible! Besides, cash only and no receipt. This place is just a small area with nothing much to see. Not recommended for tourists at all!!!

We got here only about an hour before closing.It has a gloomy atmosphere, but it provides a great lookout over the lake.If you do not mind the bugs or smell, it's a great place.There's also place for boaters to launch their boats.
