Food flavors are amazing. Price is average. The restaurant is packed, tight space, one dirty restroom as expected with most Asian restaurants. Servers are friendly and attentive in addition to "verbally bold". At the end of the service when served with a bill, they made sure I paid them minimum 15% tips. They did come back to me requesting more tips when I tipped them less than 12% due to the undesirable restroom environment. We'll, I wasn't able to leave since I was literally attacked! So, be prepared to pay tips regardless of the conditions of the kitchen or toilet since you're brave to dine here! Will not come back since the food is not free and I rather have the peace of mind knowing my food is safe.
This restaurant is accurately named. We’re always on the lookout for a high taste-per-dollar dining experience, we’re budget gourmets, and this is a great find. Their dim sum is great, and so is their regular menu. Most items are under $12. We ordered 2 dishes for our party of two, and had some left to take home. You’re gonna love it.
First time I came early morning I was blown away by the quality of the food, and the last few it lunch time has been just good. I think quality may be better while they’re busier in the mornings, so that might be something to think about! My favorite dishes are the molten egg yolk buns and the youtiao rice rolls idk the official name sorry. Would definitely recommend come in the morning!
DIM SUM ALL DAY!!! Good food for a good price! Tasted pretty good and I was surprised to be able to eat dim sum for dinner. They also make decent cantonese food, so if you're looking for a satisfying canto meal, check this place out! Not a five star because I think if you look a bit harder you can find a slightly better dim sum/cantonese food place. Nonetheless this place was yummy and I would definitely come back.
From the earlier reviews, I can only surmise that some things have changed. To start, the first thing we noticed was that although it is small and very full, they managed to keep it looking clean. Next, although all of the tables were taken when we arrived, we were seated within 3 minutes. The waitress was patient with our order and our food came out within ten minutes. Our tea which was lovely was piping hot and was the perfect amount for two people. The portions were generous, and quite tasty. I would definitely recommend this place.
Solid Boston dim sum. Has a large a la carte menu with all the usual dishes. Food was tasty but doesn’t—in my opinion—stand out from other restaurants in the neighborhood. The bakery next door is lovely. Wide variety of delicious, well-prices goodies. I’ve never bitten into a cloud, but I imagine it’s like eating one of their sponge cakes.
Amazing Dim Sum. We came on a Friday morning around 9am, which was the perfect time, place really filled up around 10am. Small place, and you're most likely gonna share your table with someone else, but the food....just perfect! We will be back for sure.
Excellent dim sum options and the soup dumplings are to die for. If you get the chance to make a stop here i highly recommend it. They had chicken feet that were a bit chewy, and the sausage roll ups were a bit over cooked, but everything else was flavor packed. The boba tea in the joint bakery is made to order which means the boba stays fresh and gummy. Check this place out if your in the neighborhood for a cheap meal! Yum!
Key points about Great Taste... - they open early, at 8am on the Saturday we visited - they have a fairly full menu of a la carte dim sum. It's not the full OG menu like a grand dim sum palace, but certainly fantastic before you start your day - attached bun shop to get some items to go All the food ordered were good. As a plus, they have , which is a treat.
Food is decent but nothing taste excellent. However service is so so due to busy business. I have to get my own menu, order paper n pencil......and wait for tea w milk long long time. Besides that it is ok.
