This was my top favorite place to eat HK style. Awesome food, authentic tastes, great service, great vibe... Then covid came and everything except the food was changed.... And never recovered. The tastes are the same. Tasty won tons, great BBQ of all sorts.... BUT... service? Plastic plates and utensils? Worse than McDonald's.... What a shame.... Not speaking of ruining our environment... Go back to nice dishes... Chopsticks... Glasses.... It shouldn't be a fast food joint.... Once again... The food is amazing...
We visited this hole-in-the-wall kind of place for lunch. We ordered using a big touchscreen next to the kitchen. Wonton Noodle Soup, BBQ pork, Choi Sum Sautéed garlic, Beef &Green pepper stir fry were all tasty. The congee had the right texture but could have been better. They don’t have Dim Sum. I would have given five stars if they didn’t serve everything in to-go containers.
It's a great place for HK style food. Tasty, good price, and good quantity. Meat was a bit on the cold side. Fried rice was delicious. Definitely recommend for best bang your buck.Food: 4/5
Triple meat rice platter is an excellent choice! When I revived my food, I am surprised by its weight. It’s a quite heavy box, 2-3 pounds of good food! You can choose three different types of meat from more than a dozen of options. They are all cooked fresh and are made right in front of you. I choose roasted duck, crispy pork, and beef stomach, they are all good, so I suppose expect all other options are safe as well. Also, the platter has fresh blanched baby bok choy.
Really great food here from the little joint in chinatown. I love the triple combo rice plate and I usually rotate between a combo of crispy pork, roast duck, bbq pork, or bbq spareribs. All of them are really good. The only little thing is that the crispy pork was never warm from the several visits. I don't know if it's intentionally like that as a cold dish. They also sell pre-packaged food and drinks. I usually get the little jar of chili oil for 5 bucks. The chili oil here may be one of the best items if you like spicy food. I love coming here for a quick pick up of Chinese food.
The WROST Snow Fungus Soup!! Do not even try. The soup supposed to be sticky and the fungus should taste rich and soft. The water is clearly just plain water with a lot of sugar! And the fungus is crispy! They have 2 pear pearls, cute shape, but after soaked in the sugar water, it tastes disgusting. Their pork is decent, just this soup is disappointing.
This spot is a classic case of incredible food + Chinatown chaos that lands it around 4 stars. If you want Hong Kong style bbq, go here, end of story. Their fried rice is also fantastic. It's basically just takeout now, so keep that in mind. It also gets incredibly busy, so it's probably best to order ahead if you want to avoid some of the chaos inside
Amazing roast duck! Definitely come in for their combo noodle soups on a cold dayRecommended dishesWonton Soup, Roasted Duck, Roasted Duck Leg
Watch out when you order to go. I ordered 4lbs of roasted pork and get charged for 4lbs. Yet when I get home and check myself since it looks less than what I usually get. No surprise it’s only 3lbs 10oz.Recommended dishesRoasted Duck
Wow! really transferred back to the days living in Taiwan and Hong Kong, the smells, atmosphere, pulse and tastes... big in take out, but a few tables for dine in. For a foodie it is a dream tasting experience, other days or nights to enjoy restaurant amenities in other placesFood: 5/5
