This is why we need to support our local stores versus large department stores. Amazing customer service, friendly workers and great atmosphere. Quinn was especially out of this world helpful in choosing right paint for my daughters school art project.
Excellent product quality and in stock! Love the mini paint samples. One issue was when I purchased paint for basement remodel, they advised me to buy double the amount necessary. I overspent by over $500 and can’t return unopened paint. Do yourself a favor and get a painter to give quantities or use an online calculator before purchasing!!!
I LOVE this art shop! Best place to buy quality art supplies downtown!
This one is awesome. I think it's larger then the one downtown. I tried to leave without a purchase but there was so much good stuff. The staff was so helpful and made a little easier to find something to buy.
Went here for Krylon Kamar and UV Archival Protectant sprays. The same products are always out-of-stock at Michael’s, but Guiry’s had both in stock. An employee was immediately available to walk me over to show me exactly where they were on the shelf, and there was no wait to check out. The products I needed are significantly more expensive through big box and online retailers. Guiry’s has better prices and customer service! I’m very glad I decided to check out Guiry’s. I will definitely be back for more quality art supplies.
I bought some wallpaper that was not one of Giurys regular suppliers. After it was installed it was clear there was a color shade change within the roll. Marilyn Dees designer at Guirys on Colorado Blvd. negotiated a settlement with the manufacturer. She had numerous contacts with the supplier and got me a complete re-order. Thank you Marilyn and Daniel
I take it back. I recently write that Meininger's was my favorite art supply store, but now I have reconsidered. Guiry's is just as nice, just as fun, just as well-equipped, and just as interesting. It's just as playful in regards to interesting and odd items for children. Also, the Guiry's staff are just as helpful. I may have allowed myself to be thrown off, a bit, by the fact that half of this very big store is dedicated to indoor/outdoor house paints, wallpaper, and home decor, as though that might not be considered "artistic." Also, the Guiry's staff wear uniform black t-shirts, which may not seem quite as individual and creative as those fancy-dressin' Meiningers people. As though that really matters! Now I am reconsidering those views, and I see them as prejudicial, and slightly embarrassing. So I apologize to Guiry's, especially the nice folk who work there and who helped me on a recent visit - and I'm gonna call it a tie. The two art stores, rivals and competitors, strike me as equal - until some further proof becomes manifest!
I am added new comment to my review of my experience with Guiry's over the past few weeks. After notifying Guiry's of me experience below, the design team did reach out and did everything possible to assist with rectifying the experience. I really appreciate their prompt and thoughtful attention to the matter. I will continue to shop at Guiry's in fact bought a paint sample today. INITIAL REVIEW I am extremely disappointed with the level of service at the Guiry's on Colorado and Evans. I dropped a blind off for repair a week ago and followed up today to see where we are in getting the blind back. Daniel informed me that it was going out today. When I expressed my disappointment in it taking a week get the blind shipped, I was told that it took that long to get a box. During our parting comments I again expressed my disappointment in the level of service and before Daniel hung up he said "you'll get over it". I would like to speak with a manager at Guiry's and get an apology. I tried calling but the voicemail indicates that "all the mailboxes are full" Debbie Hax Schmautz
I have used this paint store in the past because of their high quality paints. But this last visit exceeded all expectations. We needed to match a fifteen year old red paint color for touch up before moving. They said to bring in a small sample and they could match it. The result exceeded expectations... and that's why I will always use these paint professionals in the future.
Guiry's will have the perfect solution to our upholstery, wall covering, decorative accessory and art supply needs. The solution will not be cheap, but it will be perfect. My solution cost $78/yard, and it is absolutely perfect. I'm sure I'll return in the future... but not before checking with the bank.
