Guns and Leather

I was recommended to this place from someone at the gun range where I live in Clarksville because they were the only place around that had the gun I was looking for. The whole staff was friendly and very helpful in answering all the questions I had. Met JT (Jeremy Taylor) he took the time to help me and improved my shot by 100% (he is amazing) I would recommend this place to anyone/everyone and will continue taking the 45min drive to this store. THANKS GUYS!

I won't be back. Go to Nashville Armory. At first things were going well, even though the staff seemed a bit irritated that I was there for some reason. I felt like they really didn't want to talk to me. One dude actually took some time to answer my questions though and helped me choose a Glock 19 Gen 5. He said if I waited a week, I could get it at blue line prices. I asked him if I needed to put my name one one, he said, "Nah, we have a whole stack back there." So, I said I'd be back in on Memorial Day to pick mine up. I talked with Ben that told me to email a copy of my DD214 to him so I could get the price, which I did. I came in on Memorial Day, cash in hand, ready to buy my gun. Well, they were sold out and so was the Hendersonville location. I wasn't too pleased. I said "You said you had a whole stack back there." "That just shows you how fast they sell.", he said. I just looked at him, clearly not pleased. So, Ben came out and said that they already had them ordered and I would get a call as soon as one came in. So, I went forward with the purchase, paying $503.88 out the door, with no background check. He told me I would have to pay for the background check when the gun comes in. I had called a couple times over the last 2 weeks requesting an order status to find that nobody knew if and when any had been ordered and that "Glock is arrogant and just does what they want to do.", one rep told me. I even sent an email to Ben describing what happened and explained everything and I still have not received a reply from him. Fast forward to today, 8 days later. I called again and "The guy that does all the ordering (Ben) isn't here, and to call tomorrow cause I can't tell when they'll be here." My patience had run out. I called Nashville Armory and was told they had 3 in stock. I went to Guns and Leather and got a refund. The same guy that talked me into the Glock 19 even said "Damn, you still haven't got this?" So, at least he seemed to be cordial about it. He handed me cash and said "Sorry we couldn't help you, bud." I'd drink a beer with that dude. But, whoever is in charge of operations there needs to figure it out. Btw, Nashville Armory sold me a 19, with background, $479 out the door. I found my new supplier.

I stopped in today just to look at hand guns and killing time and ended up leaving with an AR-15, I am not the most knowledgeable when it comes to guns but the man that helped me (I can't remember his name but he was younger, tall, black hair, and had a tattoo on his arm) helped me out with all my questions and was the nicest and most customer oriented employee a company could ask for. Had he not helped me I probably would not have purchased that gun today. I got home and started to mess around with the gun, well it wouldn't fire, so I took it back tonight and of course nothing was wrong with it, I just couldn't operate it properly..I walked in and all of the guys were very helpful and even gave me a free pass in to the shooting range so that if I had any trouble with my gun they were there to help. For these reasons, i will be their customer for life. Great service, great help, great prices. Thanks again guys.

My Review is for just the gunsmith portion of the store. Jeff was awsome , super friendly and knowledgeable and took the time even just walking to get me back out the door with what I needed.

As a range this is an awesome place and the inside the store sales aren't too shabby but, their online interactions have alot to be desired. This isn't the first issue with them online but, is the latest; I contacted them about a M&P Shield PC 9mm that I was wanting to buy recently, the day after I submitted my request a guy responded and said he didn't have one onsite but, could get it. A day or so later I received an email asking a few questions about what sights (night or optic) I wanted etc. Then nothing, not an email, smoke signal nothing. I waited for several days and still nothing. I went to Goodlettsville and purchased it from a dealer that is in this to actually cater to a customer and not just ignore them. If you are going to allow online contact then you should have someone customer oriented dedicated to serving those customers otherwise why have it at all?
