H.B.'s BBQ

The food does not disappoint! Had a pork plate that was very good and the beans were amazing! The fries pie was also good. It’s a little out of the way, but worth the detour.

Cool bbq joint that's run out of a house tucked back in a neighborhood. Limited seating and looks like it's mostly kept in business by the locals. The owner seemed to know all the regulars. The bbq on the other hand was just average. Chopped beef covered in sauce was ok. Sides were also ok. The fried apple pie with cinnamon on it was perfect. Try it at your own risk.

I'm not sure where to start. First, I will say it's cash only so come prepared. Or do as we did, and go up to the gas station and use the ATM, worth it. Next. Let's start with the atmosphere. I feel like I just walked into my mom's kitchen and am treated like it, too. They are friendly, matter-of-fact, charismatic neighbors. The locals eating here were sociable and giving us a good conversation. A review from 2004 calls this place "the little place in the woods." And that is the perfect description. It is what some would call a "hole in the wall." It's what I call best damn BBQ I've ever had. I had the pulled pork sandwich. The bbq sauce is savory, sweet with a dash of a spice. The beans. I always wonder why beans are such a big deal. No longer. They were flavorful and delicious! The coleslaw was better than my grandmother's recipe. And now we get to the fried pie. Oh my. I had an out of the world experience. We shared one piece then procedes to order 2 more. The dough was fluffy, flaky, crispy, and soft. All-in-one. We choice not to sprinkle with cinnamon sugar because I'm not a cinnamon person, but I think I would've been a changed woman. I can't wait to come back on a Tuesday for ribs!

The BBQ sauce is very heavy on the vinegar. The only good thing I ate was the potato salad. Will not be my 2nd or 10th choice for BBQ!Food: 1/5

Love this place. It's tiny with only 4 or 5 tables, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Delicious pit beef and pork bbq. Great fried chocolate pies, too! Say hi to Jenni, best waitress in little Rock!

From out of town and first time here. This place was excellent. The menu is small but what I had was great. A little different than what I'm used to but that's what BBQ is all about . That little twist that makes you different. I highly recommend this place , good food , reasonable price , little hole in the wall feel.

Delicious bbq! Get the "stuff' as well, you won't be disappointed. My niece and I stopped in early during our long drive from Little Rock to Seattle and enjoyed visiting with the lovely women working that morning. Regretting that we didn't get fried pies as well.

My first time eating here was today, and when I say the ribs are sooooo good. I’ll definitely be back!!

Still craving the food!! HB's has the best potato salad and the bbq is so juicy! This is a little place 5-8 tables nestled in a neighborhood. If you blinked your eyes driving, you might just miss it but you would be sad if you did. Things to note: It is CASH only! Ribs on Tuesday Family friendly Great Southern cooking

Mean, rude, yells and curses at patrons. Needs to seek help for anger issues. Horrible food.
