Yes, the best hospital you can go to in area. Yes, expect long wait times in emergency room. That's just the reality of the over population. The emergency care I feel is the best you can get in area.
Unfortunately my mom had surgery there. Hours after she fell of the port-a-potty. She was left alone, still under anesthesia. Falling on new operated knee. No one in hospital came forward to help with situation. Worst they quickly tried to sweep situation away. Pushed my mother right out of hospital. I never made an official complain and wonder everday if it was even reported. Worst off the attendant at time is still working there. At time I tried to talk to the head of administration and was escorted out by security. Till this day it has left the entire family and friends in area with a terrible feeling against hospital.
So best hospital in area, yes.
Keep in mind if something goes wrong. You are on your own!!!
They will throw you out like yesterdays trash.

One of the best hospitals in New Jersey. I met the emergency room team, the Medical and cardiac care unit, various staff surgeons, security, cafeteria and auxiliary staff are amazing. They worked with each other, everyone does a good job. I wish them more success

My grandson was born here in May and both delivery and post partum was horrible. The nurses seemed uncaring. Was not supportive. Told the patient she didn’t need to take a shower till the next day. She didn’t get to her room until the next day. No lactation support until the next day. Then also the nurses was telling the patient the baby didn’t need to be feed until the next day. Horrible. Monmouth 𝕄𝕖𝕕𝕚𝕔𝕒𝕝 is the hospital i rather go too.

Most disrespectful staff I have ever experienced at any place of business, let alone a hospital. Refused to accommodate me with food or drinks because they were too busy insulting patients. Despite knowing I suffer from low blood sugar, I had to get delivery to the hospital so I could eat after they took multiple viles of blood. They dared to question my sanity after being denied basic human rights. They must take a training course in disrespect and lack of empathy before they’re hired here. Wish zero stars was an option. negative 5 stars would be more accurate

I arrived in an ambulance on Thursday 33 weeks pregnant and bleeding uncontrollably. I was crying and was scared. I was treated as if it was no big deal when I arrived to the emergency room. When I got to labor and delivery there was no sense of urgency and an extreme lack of consideration for how I was feeling. Not one nurse asked what was wrong or what was happening as 8 of them stood there doing nothing and staring at me telling me the wait for another nurse to come get me. Finally a nurse came and told me to change. I said I need to see a doctor ASAP I am bleeding like crazy and I’m only 33 weeks pregnant. The nurse starts yelling back at me not to speak to her like that and that she doesn’t know what’s going on. She didn’t know what was going on because she didn’t care to ask! She kept telling me I probably have a uti and continued to yell at me as I stood there hysterical crying. Once the nurses saw the blood everyone’s attitude changed and they then tell me I’m in the best place bla bla bla. Well that was after I was treated terribly and yelled at and I did NOT feel safe! This started out as a very traumatic experience and the nurses in L&D made it 10x worse. Thank god for my Doctor because I did not trust any of them. Only one nurse remained calm and and spoke to me with respect and consideration when I was upset and fortunately she was the one that remained with me. But it does not make up for how I was treated. This is an unfortunate experience I will never forget.
