Had them install a garage door through our builder. Just over 18 months in the home the garage door spring broke. Called another company to come a fix the spring so we can use our dor before the holiday weekend and low and behold the installer Hamilton Parker installed the door wrong to begin with as evidence by the pictures we took prior to moving in. The bar with the spring at the top of the door just over the opening was bent from day one which put pressure on the bearings and rollers then in turn with the recent cold snap put too much pressure on the spring and it snapped. $1300 later we now have a functioning garage door and the bar holding the SPRINGS plural this time sine HP only installed 1 spring is straight and level as it should have been in the first place. Update: Spoke with Cheryl today and she stated she would review the install from when the house was built July 2021 Got a call back and surprise surprise she stated she didn't see anything wrong with the install. Told her that that may be part of the problem then if they don't see anything wrong with the install. I am attaching before and after pictures to this review so no one else gets screwed by Hamilton Parker. Cheryl stated to me there was also nothing they could do since we were past the one year warranty. SMH great customer "service" right? Notice in the first picture taken right after install that the bar is sagging. This puts extra strain and pressure on everything spring, rollers, cables and bearings The second picture shows a level bar correctly installed after the repair by another obviously more capable company.
Beware! We had our fireplace installed less than a couple of weeks ago and we knew immediately there were problems. We called Hamilton Parker and they cannot come out for several weeks. Some of the knobs are already melted. I have huge safety concerns about their installers. Last night I could not turn the fireplace off using the remote, I am not sure if it was due to the melted parts, but I ended up shutting the gas off to turn the fireplace off safely. I don’t feel like I can trust this company. There is also no sense of urgency to fix the fireplace once they have installed it.
We had a wonderful experience from start to finish at Hamilton Parker. We selected Virginia Ledger stone for our new fireplace. Jesse Porter came to our home to measure and discuss the project. He took all the time necessary to answer our questions. But the best part was watching Mario who has worked for HP for 21 years build our fireplace with the help of Jesse. These stones are individually placed and Mario did an outstanding job piecing them all together as if it was a work of art. They both were great to have in our house for four whole days. Constructing a floor to 2 story ceiling fireplace from individual stones takes a lot of expertise and care. And when finished they left our family room spotless. We can't thank both of them enough.
We have purchased all of our tile here as we restore our Victorian home. Expert assistance and a selection like nowhere else!
Bought bricks for a garage repair and unfortunately they didn’t have ones that Were close so it’s pretty noticeable
TL;DR Sales/Delivery/Product are Excellent. Aftersales are poor. We visited with an appointment to select tile for flooring and showers for two bathrooms. The sales person was knowledgeable about products and they have a nice selection to review within the store. We got a detailed quote with pricing for several options that we considered including samples for the pieces as well. Placing the order was easy and products were available on schedule as promised. Our issues started with after sales processes. Some of the product was marked as non-returnable on the quote and others were not marked. When we attempted to return the 'returnable' product, we were given a hassle, but once escalated we were able to get it sent back. We later found out that we missed ordering a transition for one of the floors. We asked them what we needed and they placed the order for the part. When we had the carpet installers in, they said it was completely the wrong part. HP is unwilling to take the product back because it is a 'special order.' It is hard to imagine a company that advises on a specific product you need sight unseen and won't accept it back when they make a mistake and sell the wrong thing. Lesson learned to do your own research on the parts needed and verify with your GC/installers before finalizing any order since after sales support is lacking.
We had a terrible experience with Hamilton Parker. I have never left a bad review for a company before but this time it just seems important to share. For starters, our sales woman who met with us was not very friendly and was rude as my husband and I were picking out tile for our new bathroom. When the tile arrived it was 4 times larger than it was supposed to be. The size we chose was a typical bathroom floor tile 12 by 24 inches and this was 24 by 48 inches for a very small bathroom. Apparently the sales woman made the mistake and wrote the wrong numbers down. We understand that things happen. The main problem occurred when we tried to contact Hamilton Parker to make this right. We were ignored and basically delayed for months and months. No one could give us a straight answer and it was very disappointing. The company never took responsibility for the issue and basically blamed it on us. We ended up losing a lot of money and the customer service was just not great. I believe I spoke with 5 different team members or managers and it took way too long for someone to actually offer help. Overall we were just very disappointed with our Hamilton Parker experience. We did finally end up getting refunded for some of the incorrect tiles that were ordered almost 5 months later.
Upon our arrival, Jess greeted us at the front door. We were introduced to Brooke the manager. Both polite and helpful. Hamilton Parker has the best tile showroom in Columbus. Highly recommend a visit.
Great customer service from Bronte. She helped me get the correct stone to match my customers house, followed up on the order lead time, and was easy to order it through! Definitely recommend!
I am having my bathroom renovated, but I am not good at picking things out/coordinating/making choices. etc, etc! The staff at the store was incredibly helpful and I can't wait to see my beautiful tiling and flooring when done. The products are high quality and worth the cost!
