Harley Look met with my wife and I back in 2011 to do our last will and testament. Harley was very well prepared, thorough and informative. He also has a great sense of humor. My wife and I met with Harley last week to update our will and again found Harley well prepared, thorough and informative. After our approximately two hour session with Harley we were informed that there would not be a charge for our session because of this firm's policy. We couldn't believe Harley would update our will and testament without a charge! I don't know of any attorney that does not charge for their services. I would highly recommend Harley and his associates to anybody needing last will and testament advice.
I had no idea what estate planning was other than I needed a will at some point. After meeting with Harley Look I realized how much was involved. Not only were provisions made for looking after my kids if my wife and I were gone, but how my assets will be distributed without the government's grubby hands all over them , as well as how we would be taken care of later in life. He explained everything in detail and his fee was very reasonable. I would and have recommended many of my friends to Harley Look.
We worked with Harley's daughter, Krista Look, and were very pleased. Her thorough approach - including lots of education, the presentation of our options and lots of patience - was much appreciated. The overall process of our estate planning was pleasant and prompt. Highly recommended.
Harley Look is an excellent attorney with integrity and the highest moral standards. A client passed away over two years ago, and his estate was insolvent with more debt than assets, including rental property in Boulder. The executor and successor executor nominated in his will declined to handle the estate. No matter how polite, clean and honest a student tenant may be, Harley was an associate attorney at the time, not even the partner in charge, and without an acting executor or sources of liquidity, had no ability to return a deposit. Everything Harley handled was proper and the best anyone could do with an insolvent estate and no executor. To say that he had no reason other than screwing over a college student is patently false, defamatory and couldn't be further from the truth. Anyone can defame anyone on the internet without all the facts. It's amazing that such malicious and misleading dribble is still posted on Google.
Fully agree with Toni. We were referred to this group and thought they actually understood the Medicaid process. What a huge mistake! I still have the verbatim notes about 'spending down', etc. and all the horrid advice. We listened, followed the advice, and are now financially decimated. The worst part is that we had a fantastic legal group that specialized in elder law, Medicaid, and so on. I wish I could remember why we even proceeded with this group--it's been a nightmare and an expense trying to unravel, and re-do our estate planning. Whilst I've for the most part, kept quiet as to who the firm is that gave us such bad legal advice, there have been Federal and State Agencies who wanted the name and in one case, the information is going to a judge. We ended up seeing a Medicaid Consultant who was very fluent in the Medicaid process, how to correctly spend down, how to calculate what we needed for private pay to a nursing home, etc. Unfortunately, by the time we saw her, we were financially ruined. I now share my experience with others via a blog and other platforms and in giving presentations so that other innocent people will not fall into the nightmare that we have been through.
