The Level 1 Acting class was purchased for me as a holiday gift... I started in January and am almost half way through. For an intro class it is 'the' very top notch. The other students are excellent caliber in participation and interest... nice and full too. The teacher is great (J. Leister), the office helpful... and the class structure and training is right on. Uta Hagen is a very, very interesting person... but her invention of the '10 Exercises' based on the '6 Steps' is as good training as you will ever get... I've been in three other schools here in NYC and I just signed up for another Level 1 for the spring at HB. June 1st, 2015... I was asked to be a 'Key Student' for 'Acting 1' in the Spring and just completed that class today... it was great! The 'Acting 1' class, a 2nd time, was as good as the first! I learned just as much in the 2nd as in the first... (I've made it to the 5th exercise ...haha... for anyone in the know). Sunday is my last 'Scene Study 1' - Spring, class, and I learned many, many useful things there as well... again, I highly recommend HB Studio to the beginner and intermediate students... the 10 exercises are invaluable... ["which can be applied to any script written"] - Carol Rosenfeld... I can honestly say I've been given training to last me my whole career in these last three classes, Winter & Spring ... I've signed up for the 3rd 'Level 1' class, "Acting with the Camera" - Summer 2015... another gift from a family friend ... this will complete 'Level 1' for me (there are 3). I was asked to be a 'Key Student' again for 'Acting 1' a second time, making that three 'Acting 1' classes (30 weeks) & five classes (50 weeks) total... 3 seasons - Winter, Spring, Summer... 2015... my year at HB "Thank You HB!" - Evan Brady McNeeley

HB is a really varied source of knowledgeable theater/film professionals. I take classes with Aleksey Burago, he is a unique teacher, with mind changing techniques, very passionate and knowledgeable,

I dont understand its lesson method i dont enter to hear only i come to act severely i just laughing student foolish acting practice. Not fault of student ...
