The best rehab experience. Everyone who works there truly cares about you and getting you better. Good service excellent and hot meals, with variety of different preferences. PT, OT, speech therapist , Techs, Nurses, food service dept, and Dr’s all phenomenal. I truly felt like they cared about me. Thank you all for the so wonderful care I received.
I arrived on a Tues around 6:00 pm from UNM hospital. I had a major two part back surgery just 4 days earlier. Encompass did not have my medication on file with the exception of melatonin, Tylenol & one pain pill for the whole night until the doctor came in at 10:00 am Weds. I was literally writhing in pain for 16 hours due to muscle spasms & surgeries. I offered my medication list UNM gave me to the nurse twice & she had no interest in seeing it. Told me what I was on was too much & it was her job to wean me off. Needless to say she got an earful. I had my family coming to take me out the following morning when Dr Auwenm came in, took me out of excruciating pain and got my medication all situated. We all decided I would stay. The next 6 days of my stay we're amazing! My care was impeccable along with my PT and OT and the daily doctor visits to check on my progress. I had the most caring, attentive, wonderful group of nurses and techs. Big kudos to everyone at Encompass for helping me with my healing process & getting stronger. The food is delicious and they take your orders daily. After a very rough start, I was grateful I was there. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I recently spent 12 days here and it is a excellent place for rehabilitation. All the P/T and O/T techs were fabulous. They developed a plan that was specific to my injury that made feel confident in coming home. All the Nurses and Nurse Tech on the floor took care of all my needs being professional and friendly. The food was way above average as well. This is the best rehabilitation center in Albuquerque. Thank you again for all your staffs efforts.
I recently had a family member there after a TBI and am very impressed by the level of care provided. Everyone, from the doctors to therapists to nursing, and all other departments, did an amazing job caring for my loved one. I highly recommend this rehab hospital. Top notch!
This place was so wonderful to me. I went from being fresh from a coma, not able to walk and bandage up like A mummy. The wounds that were large are now a fraction of what they were and I am walking and doing all the things I need to do in normal life again. My independence is very important to me and they gave it back. There are some Shout outs I’d like to do; Roy: One of the best people I’ve ever come across to help me with my Dialysis and an all-around great guy. Kailyn: this woman made sure my wound heals correctly and did a fantastic job. I literally wouldn’t trust anybody else to do the bandages correctly except her. I’m sorry if I didn’t spell her name right, But I had a stroke a few months ago. Josie: This Woman was a ray of positivity and just an absolute ball of energy. My second mom. Paula: Paula was an absolute angel. She was infinitely patient, so kind, and anything, any problem she took care of it. Kendall: She’s encouraging me and kept me motivated. She’s a student now, but she’s gonna make it a fantastic therapist. And she may not look at, but she’s a beast at games. Kristen: For weeks and weeks, this woman worked me hard and kept me above water when I got depressed. Incredibly caring and encouraging without being pushy. she really listen to me. Art: Always there with a friendly ear and some kind words. Jared: He probably the hardest worker they got there. And there are so many others that deserve to be on this list but it’s a Google review so I gotta keep it short.
When I was told I would be doing in patient therapy prior to my surgery I was very skeptical. I asked what could I do at therapy prior to surgery to help me. Only surgery would fix the issue right? Then I would do therapy to recovery from surgery… When I was asked what my goals were when I arrive I couldn’t think of any. All I had was, “I want to get back to my family.” When I arrived, I couldn't walk more than 10 feet with a walker and I would be in so much pain I would need to stop and sit. After just two days here encompass I knew things were going to be good. Each therapist I worked with sat down with me and discussed what my goals were before we would start. Though I am sure this is part of their job, I felt like they were asking because they truly wanted to know what my goals were. I could almost see them in their minds developing plans on how they were going to help me get to those goals as well when we were talking. For the most part I was able to work with the same occupational and physical therapist the entire time. But, when I would work with someone else or just another person from my team they knew what I had done since the last time we met and knew what progress or setback had occurred. The therapist here work together like a well oil machine. They have the best interest of each patient in mind. They push you as hard as you want to go. They will even push you to your bodies limit, which is beyond your own mental block. I love this as this is how you make progress. After just a week of being here this fantastic team pushed me to be able to walk 1,000 feet with a walker. Each day I could see the progress, each day I could physically see the progress myself. The progress no matter how small would drive me. Each therapist shared in my excitement of progress, again not because it's a part of the job but because they genuinely cared about my progress. I could not have asked for a better place to come and a better team of people to help me. I am very excited to return here after my surgery to make a full recovery with the help of this amazing team!
The therapy was amazing but management and the higher ups were horrible they had events for only staff never patients I was never heard out about my issues and my rights were violated in multiple ways and I was judged based on my the way my visitors looked most horrible experience ever o had a stroke and was just wanted out of there they constantly found ways to make me feel unwanted stopped letting me have any visits over assuming without any proof of these assumptions I was so stressed out without not having no family nothing around i went into huge depression I'm stuck at a place where I'm not getting no therapy now when i clearly still needed. It but I'm treated like a human at least
From Encompass’s case manager, Andres to Brian in OT, to Art in PT to Colette in Speech to Johanna the med tech, to all the nurses - words cannot express my gratitude for the help and advise during my mother’s stroke rehab. Even though Presbyterian senior ppo health insurance limited and rushed and denied care - you all helped me make the best of a horrible situation.
My brother is currently in this facility, and while visiting him this week from CA, I was so impressed by this facility. The whole place is clean, the exercise facility is first rate, but it's especially the staff. The different therapists that work with him are first class in both their expertise, but also their kindness and compassion. They spent a considerable amount of time going over with us his treatments, causes, and prognosis. Collette in particular, was extremely informative and enlightening about my brothers condition. The rest of the staff is great too, I wish I could remember all their names so I could give them kudos, but EVERYONE that came in to either check blood sugar, or helping my brother in the shower, taking vitals, giving meds, and bringing him meals, they were all so awesome, especially since my brother can sometimes be a difficult patient. You or your loved ones are in good hands here.
Some people because I was young I could tell treated me differently than their usual but overall it was a really good stay everyone was really nice and supportive the food was well and everyone was super respectful and professional I learned a lot I do recommend this if you need a acute rehabilitation Center
