I’d like to send a heartfelt thanks to everyone at Heartland Hospice for the care that they provided to our family during such a devastating time for us. The nurse assistants, nurses, chaplains, and staff were amazing. What an amazing staff of caregivers and their presence at our home during this time was vital and comforting. I will be referring Heartland Hospice to family and friends who are in need of excellent hospice care. Thank you!

As the anniversary of my mother's passing approaches, I am reminded of the hospice care she received. I was less than pleased and now feel the need to leave a review. As I recall, the nurse visited very few times in the short time my mom was in hospice. I don't think I even met a nurse. My mother lived with me. I wasn't always home though. Getting her medications was frustrating. I recall a couple times making repeated calls because the meds were not at the pharmacy. But what really got me, was when she passed away, I called to tell them. The response was less than warm and lacked sympathy. I never heard from her nurse. I never got a card, or call from the agency. I did hear from the wonderful aid who called to express sympathy and share stories she heard from my mom. About two weeks later I got a call from the chaplain or social worker? I don't remember. But he was calling to see how my mom was doing!! I informed him she was dead. The agency didn't bother to come get all of the medications, including narcotics. They left all the oxygen equipment for me to deal with. No follow ups. No nothing for the grieving family. 5 years later, nothing. I guess they got their money and that was all they cared about. Maybe things have changed by now. I sure hope so. I wouldn't want someone else to have the same experience I had. Rest In Peace mom.

We didn't know what to expect from our Dad's cancer. Our care team always answered all of our questions, even if there was a ton. They always told us the truth, so we could prepare ourselves for what was coming. They were there for us in a time we couldn't stand alone. We were weak, but they gave us that extra strength. We were able to make sure Daddy was taken care of the right way. Our aide, Anthony Brown was amazing. He brought so much positivity into a tough situation and he is a true asset to Heartland. Thank you, all of you. From the bottom of my heart.

Losing a loved one is very challenging. It wears on you physically, mentally, and emotionally. In the end, I think we all want our loved ones to be out of pain and suffering in a peaceful place. My husband and I recently had hospice care for his father in his last week of life and I can't say enough good things about the care that was provided to us by Heartland Hospice. From the first meeting with admissions, we knew we were in good hands. The nurses and support staff including the social worker, bereavement counselor and even the answering service, everyone was respectful and so unbelievably caring. We could not have made it through a very tough time without each and every staff member. We are forever grateful!

Thank you to the staff who took care of my mother Rita at Whispering Pines. She loved each and every one of you and the family feels so grateful for your care. Your job is tough and we appreciate all you did for our family.
