Had a fantastic experience with Carly today! Used a Groupon and, after seeing all the glowing Yelp reviews about her, I decided she was the one to book with. She took my hair—with five month old growth—from drab to fab. She happily chatted about my hair needs/wants, evaluated its condition and got to work. I have layers throughout my hair and I’d had a less than desired experience with another stylist where the layers turned out...weird...so I was hesitant to trust my tresses with another stylist. She did a lovely job with my layers and layering takes major skill, the hair fell so nicely, and she brought out the shine. I was so pleased and relieved with the outcome! It turned out so lovely and I look forward to a return visit to Carly’s chair. :

Consistently one of the best haircuts and best service I have received in the city. Anna Bone is an excellent stylist. The fact that she takes notes on every visit speaks to the quality of her craft. When I unexpectedly had to go to a funeral, she offered to come in on her day off. Try to find that anywhere else in the city! I recommend her for anyone. Purchase Baxter products and Bumble & Bumble quite frequently. Eugene at the front desk is always charming and attentive. You will not go wrong with these guys at Helmet in Virginia Highlands.

Jessie has been cutting my 12 year old son's curly hair for 8 years. She is the absolute best! Does a great job cutting his hair and he loves to sit and talk to her! Highly Highly recommend her!

Anna gave me an exceptional haircut. She was knowledgeable about product and offered some great suggestions on color and care. She took the idea I had for a look and turned it into a great cut! The salon is chic yet laid back enough where as a first time visitor, I felt comfortable right away.
