Seafood - FRESH! Sauces were extremely flavorful and the sausage was juicy. The corn was sweet and fresh. There was an array of potatoes that were extremely tender. Shrimp was good, although a lot of time was spent de-heading and pealing as they weren’t as easy to peal as they could’ve been. Adding noodles to your boil bag will definitely set it off! One of the bags was a little cold but staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
We checked this place out for dinner and oh my goodness they didn’t disappoint! We started off with a platter fresh, juicy oysters. Then, we got the seafood boil: crawfish combo with mussels and corn. Our spice level was spicy and it was just enough for us. They give bibs, gloves, and wipes which are super helpful for this delicious, but messy meal. Not pictured: large, spicy Korean fried chicken wings and sweet potato fries. Both were delicious. Highly recommend this place! Parking can be a little difficult to find, but public parking is available 7 minutes away walking. You NEED to try Holly Crab in Allston!
My wife and I come here all the time—this place is so good. The best seafood boil in Boston without a doubt. Highly recommend the fried calamari and the shrimp/mussel combo with Holly sauce pictured
[4/5, Boston, MA] The garlic butter spicy shrimp came in a plastic bag. Okay… But it was great taste so not faulting them for it. Fries, potato and broccoli were basic - nothing to complain about. The wings were okay - don’t order it. We ordered crawfish as well and it’s a solid 0 - don’t order it. It’s the same price as the shrimp but it has 10% meat and 90% shell. The shrimp has a way better ratio. I didn’t consider this in the review of 4/5. Will come back for shrimp and other seafood except crawfish.
Cajun fried, cheese pasta, shrimp and crawfish combo in Holly Sauce medium heat and a bottle of plain soju what kind of monster drinks flavored soju with seafood Ugh the Holly's sauce is god damn amazing, we dipped everything in it. I know the cheese pasta looks gross it is fan-fuking-tastic. Garlicy as hell. This place was so good omg
A solid take on Louisiana-style boiled seafood. My daughter was extremely happy with the crab and shrimp combo. I ordered the dungeness crab, and was less satisfied with the portion and lack of accompaniment. There was also no air conditioning and limited ventilation, so it was quite stuffy. Still, the staff was friendly and the food was tasty.
I've been going to this place for years. Food has always been delicious. Service has always been friendly and attentive. Cleanliness is an A+. If you've never been, you should definitely go. Although, my one and only complaint is that recently since they revamped the menu - they've been charging ridiculous prices. King crab legs were $55 without tax today. I could go to Costco and get twice as much as I got today for the same price. I'm pretty sure they've switched over to all frozen seafood versus fresh caught. Which is fine...because the food is still delicious- but shouldn't that mean prices would be a little more reasonable? I used to get a couple corns and potatoes in my bag - now it's one of each even though prices went up? Oh but I can add more for additional costs. We also used to get complimentary bread at the table to soak up all the delicious juices... those are gone now too. Extra sauce? Extra cost. Sure, I'll still come because i can't figure out how to make the sauce and don't have the desire to learn how to. It's a special treat. But it was already pricey to start with but it had the fresh seafood going for it and the complimentary items...but now it just doesn't seem as affordable to go to once in a while. More just for special occasions.
THE BEST SEAFOOD PLACE Amazing food - good crispy chicken with fresh seafood. And the waiter Tim Kim is the friendliest waiter in the whole world. Had an amazing dinner here. Def recommend
Ordered the shrimp and crawfish combo with the mild Holly crab sauce. Both the crawfish and the shrimp had soaked up a good amount of the sauce, and the sauce seemed like a delicate blend of cajun spices and garlic butter. It was somewhat disappointing to find out that they forgot to include a corn in the bag, but the food was still satisfying even without it. There weren’t a lot of unique or interesting factors overall, but it had everything that I expected from a cajun seafood place. Price was also reasonable for the portion served, and this would be a nice place for an occasional visit when you’re craving for cajun seafood.
This became my go to for seafood boils! We had a great experience with takeout and dine in. The food is delicious and the sauce is the best around! My personal favorites are the green mussels and cheesy noodles.
