We just spent 6 weeks here. Our stay was wonderful. Two of the staff, Linda and Natalia at the front desk, were very friendly and accommodating. Also, Natalia's father Jose comes in at 3 AM every morning with his wife to set up the wonderful breakfast. And he does "welcome to breakfast" to everyone. Another employee that goes above and beyond is Billy, the shuttle driver. He actually has different play lists for the different type of guests in the shuttle. There are a lot of repeat guests, and one woman that comes likes Christmas music, so no matter what month it is, she hears Christmas music. One day there was a child in the van, and he played kiddie music all the way to the hospital. He is amazing! Also, the place is squeaky clean, staff is constantly cleaning. I highly recommend this hotel.
I would have rated this stay a 4 or 5 star had the desk associate not been so unprofessional and short. After walking in the lobby to check in I waited while the desk associate was on the phone. This is not out of the ordinary. However the associate would not make eye contact and eventually looked up and said "I am going to be a while" . Meanwhile cars were being partially blocked by my vehicle outside as the hotel is directly on a busy road in Boston. I left to move my car and came back in only to find the associate on the phone and again ignoring me. While I am sure the call was urgent there is no reason for the level of indifference shown. A simple quick glance, eye contact and "one minute" finger gesture was all that was needed. Outside of this experience the room was fine and the hotel very new. However there are few restaurants within quick walking distance so if it's raining or cold you will need to order for.delivery.
Great place to stay for couple of days or more. Safe place. Friendly atmosphere. Good breakfasts. Easy access to public transportation green line - 7 min/walk. Definitely a good choiceRooms: 5/5
I loved staying here recently. The hotel is very clean, conveniently located near the Longwood medical area, and has a secure parking garage. They also have on-site laundry, an exercise room & pool. Their staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I’ll keep returning there since I work often in Boston. Thank you for a great stay! :
Good place to stay! Well located place nearby a t stop and bus station, easy to go everywhere from there. The receptionist are not kind but people from kitchen they are lovely! We stay in a standard room and the room is perfect for what we need! The exactly the size that we need! Inside the room you have a big bed and a small bathroom! You have lika e living room everything together with a couch and a pretty and useful table where you can easily work from there! They have also a small kitchen with cooktop, fridge, toaster, microwaves and all the utensils that you need to have a small cook! In the facility they have a small warmed pool, gym and a place to have a breakfast! The breakfast they have a waffle machine, lots of varieties of bread, usually options of food like 2 kinds of omelet/potatoes/sausage And they also have fruit and dairy and not dairy milk and yogurt! Is a good option to stay!
Bed mattress is stiff and not a true king, pillows are not comfortable. Smaller suite size so I felt really crammed in. I asked for makeup remover but they didn't supply. Asked for 3 extra pillows but gave us 2. Hotel breakfast area was clean and food selections ok. No exhaust fan in bathroom or shower areas. Parking was $39/day. Boston is always expensive wherever you stay. Rooms: If you don't need the kitchen, don't stay here. It takes any extra space in your quarters. I just felt very cramped. Nearby activities: We stayed in Brookline. Our son lives there and he is a great tour guide. Lots of great restaurants and within driving distance of many attractions. I recommend getting a car and visiting VT, NH or CT. Boston is just so packed with people and vehicles! I'm more comfortable away from all that. Safety: The ambient lighting in our room was quite annoying actually. The carbon monoxide detector light was soooo bright and the smoke alarm light was too. Why??? I know they wanted us to see in the dark so we wouldn't trip or fall but come on! Did like the garage lighting though. Motion sensors turned extra lights on as we drove or walked throughout the car garage.. Made me feel very safe when we were really tired after a long day of walking in Brookline or driving in from sightseeing in New England. Noteworthy details: Bostonians aren't known for their friendliness. Everyone is in a hurry and I found them even rude at times, but your hotel staff shouldn't be that way. So far that appears to be the case at Homewood Suites on Boylston in Brookline, MA. During this particular stay, the guests were odd and rude. I can't blame the hotel for that!
I had a nice comfortable room with a king bed. The room came with a stand up shower instead of a tub. The small kitchen was perfect size for one person and came with some nice extras . Front desk staff was very helpful . Swimming pool has salt water a little cold for my liking . The workout area is nice and very clean . The Housekeeping staff are excellent. Great price for a night so near downtown Boston. Special thanks to Melvin at the front desk. Outstanding service!
This particular Homewood, was very comfortable, easy to navigate throughout my stay. The room was well appointed, and clean. I like my travels stays with minimal interaction with the hotel staff. This has always been my travel M.O. even prior to COVID, so the HIlton app, is a godsend, getting in and out of the hotel requires minimal to no hotel staff interaction, I get my bill timely and the room accommodations are as close to home as I can possibly hope for. The Bed is super comfortable, and the bathroom, and accompaniments plenty. The kitchen is basically home away from home. They could improve on the in room coffee machines though. This is the only area to me, that cheapens the experience. Great in room coffee matters. The machines and coffee are the only area in vast need of improvement. All else was fantastic.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 days the second week of August. I would like to commend the gentleman overseeing the breakfast area. Every morning we were there, even though at some moments he needed to hussle because of the many guests at the breakfast area, he greeted everyone with a smile on his face and with the words "Welcome to Breakfast". He made our day every day. Thank you!
Clean and spacious room. Close to Tram stops. Perfect for a longer stay. The pool was oddly tiny and they skipped our room service when we had requested it once but overall, this was a very nice place.
