Vietnamese food like California! I’ve missed this. The server was so patient too. I cannot eat gluten so he answered all my questions and told the chef I need my rice noodles cooked in separate water and helped me pick a dish with fish sauce, but no soy sauce. I do not recall the name of my dish, but it was a cold salad with basil, cold rice noodles, pickled veggies, and warm grilled shrimp topped with peanuts. It is served with fish sauce on the side. So good!

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent visit to Hong Yen. My daughter and I were new to Vietnamese cuisine, but found the service staff very accommodating to our questions and helping us select our lunch. It was delicious, fresh, served well, and a good value. We will visit again.

Excellent dinner with the kids taking their mother out for Mother’s Day. All 5 of us enjoyed everything we ordered and the service was perfect. Highly recommended!

My wife and I eat here on occasions and really enjoy the food. Good location and great menu choices. Waitress is always friendly. Good service.

I have only had Pho one other time before trying this place and it had been many years. The portion is very large for the price and the flavor was great. I got the Pho with the rare beef and meatballs. I loved the rare beef but I found the meatballs to be a bit odd in flavor and texture. Next time I will order it with just the rare beef. The quality of the meat was excellent. My friend ordered the squid stir fry which was a bit expensive and a small portion for the price paid although it was delicious. It was odd the pho was adequately priced for the size but the squid dish was not. The service was excellent and I will definitely go back and try some other items on the menu. Update 04/24/2018 - after going back many times and sampling other menu items I have changed my review from 4 to 5 stars. The food is consistently excellent and the staff is great. Sample the different soups. You won't be sorry!
