Hot Chicken Takeover

Fantastic food, staff, and atmosphere! One of my favorite chicken restaurants in the greater Columbus area. WHEN you go, I highly suggest getting the chicken “warm” if you enjoy a nice kick and a side of Mac or fries!

Amazing customer service as well as chicken! Really recommend warm tenders and the max and cheese. The pudding is spectacular and that says a lot since i usually prefer making mine at home. 10/10 experience every time i make a visit

My family and I drove 4 hours to eat here and go to the zoo. We ate here a few years ago when there was only one location, different location than this, and my family has talked about it so much since then. I wasn’t ready for any heat on my chicken on this trip so I stuck with the kids and ordered mine cold for the heat. My husband went down a level to medium this year and he thoroughly enjoyed his food. We had ordered the kids chicken with Mac, chicken sandwich topped with coleslaw and Mac, wings 5 and beans, and a banana pudding. The sandwich I ordered was so filling. I didn’t want to not finish my food as I was full before eating it all. It was seriously too good to let any go to waste. I ate my sandwich with their homemade ranch. I only like homemade ranch, not the store bought and this met my expectations. The coleslaw serve is so good. It’s lightly dressed and not the heavy mayo kind. Their Mac is creamy and baked so it’s the perfect combination of taste and texture. The sandwich is also served with pickles, the good dill cut pickles. My husband ate his 5 wings, no bread and no beans and was full just off that. The kids enjoyed their food so much and also enjoyed dipping the chicken in ranch. The banana pudding was divine. We all shared one serving since we were already full. The pudding was fresh, The homemade banana pudding tastes with real bananas. It did not disappoint. The meals came with sweet tea, served southern style as it is very sweet. The restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, and wait times were minimal. I can’t wait to go again today, two days in a row.

Love this place!! Always friendly faces and smiles! Super friendly and easy going atmosphere that includes everyone. Can’t beat it with a stick. The food is always consistently great as well! I don’t even like ranch dressing.. but HCT ranch is liquid gold. FIVE STARS FOR HCT!!!!!

My to go place for spicy and juicy chicken. This restaurant ambiance is very good and also very clean place for dine in.

Beans spilled all over chicken and syrup was in the beans. Packaged horrible. Soggy bean chicken is what I have. This is fine for people who don’t mind food touching. You judge the waffles. Update: The customer service was TOP NOTCH! Respect with accountability. I will be back to try again!!

I have to update! HCT has French fries and they are delicious. No need to go to the fair lol! These things are delicious! Yuuuuummmm!

I love this place! The food is amazing and the staff is awesome. This place makes great hot chicken! The banana pudding is so good. The fact that they make the food gluten free on Tuesday is a real treat for me. If you’re looking for great food and great service go to Hot Chicken Takeover! Parking: There is plenty of parking in the rear.

First time ever coming to hot chicken takeover. I got there with 10 minutes to close. The person who rang me up, Christopher, was awesome!! Super kind, helped me learn the menu, and made sure I had a great first experience. I’d recommend coming to this one for the phenomenal customer service alone! Felt very down to earth and helpful

Staff is always great / helpful... A few changes to note. Tea is no longer free with your meal. $1.50 so reasonable. Touch screen to place your order. Be careful, there is a 3 piece wings and a 5 piece wings meal. Now I want two more wings, which is not on the menu. You can now refill your own tea and water. I have added french fries, spicy ketchup and spicy ranch. They have also added chicken tenders. Now back to your regularly scheduled review. I had a perfect chicken wing today... One of the few places I can get spicy food. Wings holy with mac and beans is my go-to. There are tables set up inside and, when it is warm, tables set up outside. Every Tuesday the entire family comes so they can get their gluten-free chicken. I also really like the environment. The people seem to get along really well together and are kind to their customers. They have high chairs if you need them and they also just got these cute caution signs that look like bananas. They really compliment their banana pudding. As we are coming into Christmas, they have gift cards that you can buy. Highly recommended. And today, they completely nailed everything really spicy perfect tender chicken wings. I am also partial to the thighs.
