Update 1/7/19: After the renovation, this place now offers dumplings and other dishes along with the hotpot and grill. Tried the XLB today and it's pretty yummy! The skin is thin but thick enough that I didn't break any, even the last one when it's slightly cooled down and stickier : The top of the dumplings where they're crimped is a little doughy, but overall the filling is tasty and juicy. Also ordered stir fried pea sprouts, the chef was not stingy with garlic. Pretty tasty dish as well. ----- Weekday lunch special: $15.99 for all-you-can-eat bbq plus a soda, great deal! I was stuffed after trying the first 4 beef dishes. Docked a star because the grill got pretty charcoal-y after a round, and they don't give you any oil to re-grease it.
Food: There is a large selection of meat and vegetables. They include lamb, beef, pork, chicken and seafood. The meats are well cut. There is many selection of vegetables as well. You can get mushroom, potatoes, lettuce greens, cabbage, spinach, Chinese broccoli and more. They let you make your own sauce at the bar. I would recommend the japanese soy sauce or the teriyaki. They both taste delicious. Alcohol is also served, but I had opt out from drinking. For the broth, the beef broth was delicious. The curry flavor was okay. It tastes like a water down version of the yellow curry that you get at Thai restaurants. Service: The employees are nice and quick to help get your order. Our host was helpful at how to use the touch screen for orders. The owner seems nice. Ambience: This place looks modern. Each tables has their own touchscreen for ordering. Very quick to get your order in. As well as hooded ventilation. On the walls they have multiple television on. Great to watch a show or game.
There are many options of food here, like hot pot, bbq, dumplings, noodles, sichuan dishes. The dishes we ordered were good. Knocked off one star due to lack of service.
is good. Red oil wonton is a little more spicy. Convenient location and decent price.
My friend and I ordered the "hotpot combo A" and it was such great value for the variety, taste and quality all for under $50. The food just kept on coming! Staff was also attentive and helpful for a fantastic experience.
It is very special restaurant that have hotpot, bbq and xiaolongbao dumplings. We tried hotpot and xiaolongbao, it was good and price is cheaper. Recommend for friends hangout.
Guys and gals, the selection and quality of the food is impeccable. More importantly, someone seems to have told the management that Americans like big portions, because the serving sizes here are bonkers. The only downside is that there’s so much food I couldn’t finish it all. The decor here also accurately reflects modern interior design literally anywhere in mainland China.
Food taste is good but service is very slow. Dishes were already a little cold when served. The waitress didn't tell us one of the dish has sold out until 30 mins after our order. We have to go to the front end to check out because the bill takes forever to be served.
AYCE hot pot for $25 dinner and add bbq for $4 more. The selection of meat is pretty great, but the veggie selection is both lackluster and poor quality. The fish roe balls were pretty good. Highly recommend both the thinly sliced beef and lamb and the garlic beef. Broth was flavorful but there is a lot of MSG, so be careful. Good selection of sauces at the sauce bar.
Update 7/12/2018: It is CLOSED for renovation. Went for lunch all you can eat. Outside sign says includes free soda but server never asked if we wanted any. Food was pretty good considering it's an AYCE. Option of BBQ, hot pot, or both for extra charge. We got both and pleasantly surprised. For the broth, I recommend the beef bone broth which had a lot of flavor - excellent! The reason why I rate as a 4 not 5 was bc when the food was brought out some were falling off the plate and touched the table. Overall though, no complaints about the food itself. Not sure if I would return for dinner bc of the price... unless it has more meat/seafood options available as dinner-only.
