I've used Houston Foam Plastics as a source for extruded poly-styrene as a modeling material for my students.  They need a lead time of a couple days to put in an order, and they do have a minimum amount per order.  The quality of the material and the accuracy of their cuts are very solid.  The people are also polite and pretty helpful.
