The festival is always the first weekend in October. The town of New Boston lines its main street with booths featuring both local crafts and more exotic wares. There are rides for the kids, and enough food on a stick to sate any fair goer. Where else can you find stone ground horseradish or wooden bowls made from cedar stumps?

A fun event overall, but the name "Apple Fest" , doesnt fit. I expected vendors selling apple cider and cinnamon donuts. One table had bagged apples. Whole pies-2- were available. No fritters, donuts, or cider on tap. But nice people, and the Mackinaw fudge booth sells addictive SOFT-ROASTED nuts!!

Great time, lots of awesome crafts and food. Also great parking close by for only $5. Can't really beat it considering how much you walk anyway
