If you want a hotel surprising you with used/unchanged bed sheets- this is it! We found strands of hair on bed. It was absolutely gross. When we called front desk about the issue- the front desk guy Nicholas actually handed us the sheets and told us to change it ourselves. He offered zero apology and was extremely nonchalant- as though it’s normal to almost sleep in someone else’s used bedsheet with hair all over it. When I asked for someone to help change it- he hesitated and then proceeded to say “Well I can but I don’t know if I do it well” with a clear attitude showing he didn’t want to. The overall hotel was not that proactive in helping resolve this issue or even giving us a new room? Absolutely horrible service. Requested refund the next day in which their manager Sarah- said they cannot do it and I would have to call Expedia which is a complete lie bc I’ve had hotels refund it on their end but I did not have the energy to argue with her so I let it go. Anyway- bad experience and horrible staff. Avoid at all costs.
Folks were very accommodating and hospitable. Even though the construction was mild, they were more than fair about giving out gym credits elsewhere. They also granted a slightly later checkout when I asked. Wonderful location, too, next to awesome restaurants in short walking distance.Rooms: 5/5
I was sold at THE FRONT DESK... the young lady that helped my family and I went far a beyond the call of duty. I hate I didn't get her name. My Ebony Princess And the pillows they are to DIE... I truly slept like a dream. The bed made creeky sounds. But, despite that, they were very clean and upgraded, modern rooms...Now it's under renovation. But when it's completed. I know that the Hyatt will be a force to be reckoned with...parking was alil complicated. But yall made up for it with your beautiful Customer Service. Please keep up the good work!!!
Well appointed rooms, comfy mattress, solid amenities, decent breakfast; although they should stick to items that benefit the masses. Good location, would return.Rooms: 4/5
Carrie at the front desk was so helpful and helped solve a problem we had right away. It was refreshing to have a staff member work with us and be so understanding. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast is amazing!! Highly recommend is staying in ColumbiaRooms: 5/5
Do not recommend. They are discourteous and canceled my reservation after an error they had made after I confirmed twice after booking my hotel room for a very busy time of year. This was very unprofessional and I even spoke to corporate and nothing could be done to remedy the situation. The sales manager hung up the phone on me as well.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It really needs some attention. The employees working here all seem to be lost & confused. The only normal employee was the young women doing breakfast. The housekeeping and cleanliness of the hotel is awful. The rooms were not clean. Fingerprints on windows & mirrors, hairs in shower, greasy stuff on head board, dust almost every where you touch, and just a dirty feeling. I literally went to my car got a pack of sanitizing wipes & wiped down the entire room. I spoke with front desk but the little lady looked at me as if I asked her to do a back flip. Anyways I understand places are short staffed so maybe that is why the place is how it looks but I don't know. Another thing that was a bother is none of the doors were working. Only the back doorhotel entrance was working. Asked the front desk about it & they said they don't know. Also make sure you bring a towel to the pool because they don't stock the towels very often. But with that being said my stay was not what I expected. I would recommend staying at another hotel.
Great location to convention center and restaurants! Indoor pool option. The room was a great size with plenty of space. The couch was large even if the bathroom was pretty amazing. Easy walking distance to several restaurants and convention center. I loved everything about my experience with Hyatt. It was downtown next to Wet Willies and a lot of other places. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I'll definitely be back.
Great cool place, but the outside is under construction, so you'll miss it if you don't map it. Parking lot access is NOT off Gervaise, it's around back. Pretty good breakfast for hotel food, and cozy little bar on the ground floor. Right in the middle of the action in downtown and very worth the stay.Rooms: 4/5
The room was relatively clean found some hairs and weird stains in some places and the check in process using the app is great. One really troubling thing though... there's no lid on the toilet. So when you flush, you're spreading all the gross particulates around the room which, frankly, is disgusting. I used the tank lid as a makeshift cover but really... still gross. I don't even know how to fix that- bring your own lid? The air conditioner also sounds like the inside of a plane so bring earplugs if noise bothers you. Other than that- not a bad place. Oh, and parking is very limited for the size of the hotel so prepare to spring for valet if you arrive late in the day.
