Great experience at ichiran! The individual booths can open up for two person booths which is great. The broth is very rich and fatty with amazing pork! Can't wait to come back.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No
Very welcoming atmosphere from the minute you walk in, and the employees are equally as welcoming. The wait for the food is not long and while the prices have increased, the amazing quality is still the same as ever. I would personally recommend the premium Yakibuta. A must go for any person visiting New York City or Brooklyn. Well worth the price and time.
My favorite ramen in the city. Ichiran allows you to customize the Tonkotsu ramen to your own liking. If it’s your first time going, I recommend following the “recommended” things on the menu. They also offer a vegetarian option if pork broth isn’t your thing. Get the Kae-dama. It’s an extra $3-4 but so worth it. You don’t get as much ramen noodles as you’d expect. The service can be a bit slow during busy times. However, the staff is always friendly.
This place has always been great. It’s definitely a quick bite sort of establishment since they only offer ramen and nothing else but the ramen is tasty and filling! They have a table area and a solo area so you can choose which to dine in. Staff is friendly and attentive it’s unfortunate they don’t accept tips given how great the service is. : I’ve also been to the one in Japan and the interior and layout is very much the same, such a great replica of the original.
I love this place! They update the menu with good explanation in English and Chinese, which is super friendly. I recommend the matcha pudding because it is yummy!!! All the servers are nice and patient. I usually choose firm noodles with medium Dashi soup.
Outdoor line was long kind of long on Saturday after 6pm. But the host keeps track of people and tries to get everyone inside as soon as possible. I ate at the “individual” section of the restaurant with a friend, but the dividers have hinges which we opened so that we weren’t so isolated from each other. I’ve honestly never experienced this kind of seating. It’s pretty interesting that we never see our servers and that water is self serve they are a no tip establishment. We were given little menus to check off the texture of our noodles, spicy-ness, the sides and beverage there might’ve been more but I forgot. There are buttons to press once we are ready to submit our orders as well as to request extra noodles. The ramen was amazing. I loved being there and it felt like quite the experience. Definitely recommend to visit I think they also have a rewards program for anyone who gets hooked on their food.
My five stars are more from the experience than the food itself. Not to say the foot wasn't great but the friend that took me gave me some context about how the place has changed since it's introduction as far as the authenticity of the setting compared to its roots in Japan. Very tasty ramen and would visit again.
Best ramen I’ve ever had. The broth was rich and creamy and the noodles were the perfect texture for me. Their signature hot sauce was very tasty. A bit pricey but totally worth it. I loved the concept of this restaurant it was a great experience.
On a Sunday afternoon there was a 20 minute wait for a group of 4. Once it is your turn they hand your group a clipboard with the menu. Broth was super tasty. Better than Hokkaido Boston but not as good as Kizuki .I loved the ability to do some customization . Next time I come here I won't get the topping set. I wish they had wavy noodles. Straight noodles just don't hit the same and have a boring texture. I hope the staff are paid a living wage since this restaurant does not accept tips. Service was good and they are able to split checks. They accept credit cards. The bathrooms are unisex /gender neutral and are near the front. For some weird reason there are like 20 toilet paper rolls on the wall lol.
This was great Tonkotsu ramen! Refill please! Cleared the bowl and all the soup. The spicy sauce was a bit salty for my taste tho, might try less and mix more thoroughly next time. The special Yalibuta was not great in our opinion. We will most likely pass on our next visit. We still stick with the regular chasu and soft boiled eggs. We also had the iced matcha green tea. It was watery and tasteless in our opinion. Will definitely pair it with something else eon the next visit. The kids ramen bowl was super well priced! They had a blast for this meal. The matcha pudding was the perfect ending to the meal. It was so smooth and silky! This is a must get item! Next visits order: Ramen, refill, topping set, ginger ale, matcha pudding! See you soon!
