Best value anywhere but can be inconvenient. Don't let the negative reviews deter you. You will sit 16 hours and get a certificate either way. You will need to learn the laws and keep up with changing laws on your own, but the basics are covered in the class. Joe (our instructor) was funny and tried to keep the class from getting boring and monotonous. Joe was able to answer any question you throw at him. You are wasting your money if you pay more than $100 bucks like at other ranges. Their classes are sold out a month in advance. Now the downsides...The chairs they have are not comfortable. They are small plastic chairs, almost like lawn chairs. I, as well as many others, were hurting by the end of the 8 hour day. They know this and told us we can get up at any time and move around, go to the bathroom, take a call outside etc. So if it really bothers you just get up and move around a bit. The second bad thing is that the range there are 2 ranges they regularly use for to qualify their students for the shooting test on the second day. One is in Hammond, IN. The other location is somewhere in the city but not really nearby either (I forgot the location exactly). So you will need to drive to the range from there and then head back home. Joe is not politically correct, so if you are sensitive person and can't handle jokes don't bother with this class. As some other reviewer said he does use 4 letter words at times and makes jokes which are not "PC" by any means. Apparently another reviewer was offended and had to trash them in a review on Yelp. I almost didn't take the course because of that negative review. After finishing the course I'm glad I didn't let that little snowflake on yelp make me miss out on a great deal. The only criticisms of Joe is that he repeats himself and should be more structured. He should also stop periodically when moving from topic to topic and ask if anyone has questions. Instead we just sort of raised our hands at odd times and hurled questions at him. He was able to handle every question. He knows his stuff. Almost half the class was black, there was a good mix. No racism or bigoted jokes like what I was expecting from that snowflakes review on Yelp. Another tip, get there early on the first day since you will get a number for your shooting order at the range. That way on the second day you can shoot early and just head home early. Otherwise it can take 1-2 hours to shoot. I was done in 15mins since I was there early. The class had about 35-40 people. Everyone was friendly...surprise surprise, they are gun owners! Armed society is a polite society right?

This place was great it was a great environment the instructor was great and explained everything so you can understand it I would highly recommend this place and joe the instructor was a great help also and explained everything very well

Went here in November and took brian class, its a great place to go very affordable and brian the instructor was awesome he answered every single question and gave good tips and he made the training fun. I would definitely recommend this place.
