I prob would have rated this place a 3 or 4. The selection is pretty limited, which is fine but when all your cabs are $50+ that sure cuts down on possibilities for a lot of people. What brought the rating to a 2 was the staff's non-existent offer to help despite me looking at the same shelves several times. Then at check out the cashier rounded the change (in their favor). What the heck? You should only round the change in the customer's favor; never assume people don't want the proper amount of change back. The two seconds you saved avoiding pennies was a total turn off.

I will never step foot in this store again. Every time I’ve gone in there one of the men who works there immediately starts following me around the store (which is tiny mind you). I still have returned which is foolish, I know. Today, I decided to stop in for a bottle of wine since it was my birthday and I thought it would be a nice way to end the day and week. Once again I was immediately followed. Usually, they’ll at least pretend that they’re following me to be helpful and they’ll ask if I have any questions about the selection. Today, they didn’t even try to pretend. Not only did he just stand next to me silently watching me, but when another customer tried to get his attention because they actually did need help, he brushed them off and said he would get to them shortly and he continued to stand next to me. I absolutely regret still purchasing the wine, especially since after taking my credit card he then asked for ID. Mind you, I’ve been in there several times before and I’ve never been asked for ID because I’m clearly well over 21, but if the reason for asking for ID was to ascertain that I was legally of age, why not ask before getting my method of payment? And if he actually looked at the birthdate rather than matching the picture and name to the credit card he would have noticed it was my birthday. I even mentioned the fact that he’s never asked for ID before and he just ignored me and handed back my ID and credit card. So a black woman in a business suit is suspicious but the few other customers who are not black and are in casual wear are left alone, even when they ask for help? Shame on you! Definitely not the way I wanted to end my birthday.

Dropped by based on reviews when I was in town for a few days hoping to find a few rare whiskey. Small store in the heart of DC. Parking was a little challenging. Selection of whiskey was most definitely better than Schneider's that I visited. There were some nice ones like the Pappy, Yamazaki 18, etc. But I was disappointed with their prices. Comparing to prices I know in California, Las Vegas, New Jersey, and Texas, their prices were very high. For example a 15 year Macallan was $140 compare to $90 in Texas and around $100 elsewhere. A Pappy 12 year was $1800 compared to $1300 in New Jersey. The Yamazaki 18 was $550 compared to $350 in California. And there were other examples. I guess it's high price of doing business in DC, maybe? Well, I didn't stay long in the store and went home empty handed.

Great location, professional staff, clean, and excellent prices. So excited I was able to get my Johnny Walker Blue Label there. :)

Great selection. The staff are really nice and great prices too. This is one of my favorite places to get alcohol as it always has exactly what I need at a reasonable price. Love this place!!!! 10/10 would recommend.
