Grand Cata, Latin Wine Shop

Stopped in while in D.C. for work specifically looking for beer from the Nicaragua Craft Beer Co. and I left with not 1 but 2 cases and 6 bottles of wine! The owner was the nicest guy and the cashier went above and beyond to help me! If you do well with a lot of options and like to learn about your wine, this is the place for you! I’ll be back!

I love a wine shop that has a focus instead of a general selection. Grand Cata does everything they can to share wonderful Latin wine with you. Great, curated selection and an incredibly knowledgeable and passionate team. You can always trust that the bottle they help you choose will be right for the occasion. It is awesome to see businesses like this thriving in Shaw.

Excellent selection, beautiful space. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Pedro and Julio are amazing and will help you find something awesome to take home. This Valenzuelan is happy with the great rum selections as well!!!!

I am a huge fan of Grand Cata. While their forté is certainly the fact that they probably have the best and most extensive catalog of South American wines on the East Coast, I also enjoy their Italian selection. Also, whenever I need a gift for a friend, I always go here to find a unique and quality product, whether I am looking for wines, spirits, gourmet snacks, cook books, or even house wares. They host a number of cultural events as well to support both local and Latin artists, including painters, designers, and musicians. There is always a good reason to stop by!

Very good wine selection if you like Latin wines. Staff is friendly and particularly knowledgeable about Chilean wines. They have daily wine tastings.
