Bloomingdale Wine & Spirits

My favorite liquor store in this area of DC. It's not huge but larger than most city stores and has a solid selection, especially when it comes to whiskey. Pricing is reasonable for in the city.

Good price and options. Middle Eastern staff - which is kind and fine, but English speaking for questions or assistance is not.

While this liquor store has a decent, rotating craft beer selection, it is frequently the victim of poor and downright misleading price labeling. Outside of being generally overpriced (most are), beers are often labeled with the wrong price, or not at all, and those beers are unsurprisingly priced $3-5 more than the general market price when rang up. The staff, while generally nice, merely shrug when asked about it, or point at the register display. Its convenient location for Bloomingdale residents is sure to keep it a mainstay of the neighborhood, but I would gladly walk to a liquor store farther away that gave a care about its customers.
