The ladies at the front desk are not only extremely informative but super friendly, helpful, and attentive to your needs. They don't mind discussing your projects with you at great length, in fact they seem happy and enthusiastic to do it. Mario the owner knows exactly what hes talking about and does beautiful timely upholstery work. The turn around time for my foam was timely and exactly what I wanted. I recommend this place fully confident that you will have a fantastic experience just as I did. The dog on sight is adorable as can be! Bonus!

The girl who helped me (johnny?) was extremely informative, friendly, and gave me an overall amazing experience that felt very welcoming. She made me feel confident about being able to be a first time upholster and I cant wait to come back and order foam and supplies! Go here!

I am a return shopper at In-Ex, and have been quite pleased in the past. The company has changed things, so you can't get foam the same day now. It has been 5 days since I ordered my cushion foam, and still no call. I can order foam online and have it at my door in 5 days. Being a local company, they should have a faster turn around. They cut the foam on Columbia Blvd. and you can pickup there, or at the Clay St. store. I got to interact with two salespeople, one at each location. One asked me "Where did you get this phone number? This is not our business phone number." I responded uhh... your superpages ad online. Anyways, both employees made me feel like I was interrupting their coffee break. They didn't seem like they wanted to be bothered with my project. I don't expect much in terms of customer service, but they left me wanting a little better.

Went in to have the foam replaced on a cushion. The owner (Mario) was certainly polite, but then attempted to charge me for the entire job up front (despite there being a sign on the wall that clearly states they take a deposit, and the rest of the job on delivery). I mentioned this as concerning, and he explained that because it was custom cut foam, I owned it, there were no refunds. Because I found that a even more concerning, I asked about guarantees or warranties... what if it didn't fit? What if it was defective? He just repeated that he couldn't understand how either circumstance would ever happen (he just had to say they'd make it right to allay my concerns), but I let him run my card for $150, looking around for any other signage that would spell out terms (there aren't any). When he presented me with an invoice, it has NO terms on it, at all. So I asked him to write down the delivery date he'd promised (next day evening) and he just stared at me, repeating that he'd SAID he'd deliver it tomorrow. I very calmly said that I understood, which is why it shouldn't be a problem to write it on the invoice. He simply said I "seemed like trouble and didn't trust him" and he'd prefer to refund my money, which I gratefully accepted. It took him about 20 minutes to do so. His politeness disappeared during this time, but I just kept smiling despite that.
And to add insult to injury he processed the charge anyways, it turns out, instead of voiding it. So I've had to go through the entire process of disputing the charge (on a refund the businesses forced on me) through my bank. This from the businesses when alerted "maybe a refund will show up later?".
Folks.. this is the PERFECT kind of job to end up in a dispute. If someone isn't willing to stand behind their work, why would you give them your money willingly? If the terms change, if the terms aren't spelled out, if someone won't commit in writing to what they've told you.... that is just really foreboding. I would not do business with In-Ex Upholstery. There are multiple other places in town that cut foam and will stand behind their work.
