Selected 1-star, because Zero stars wasn't an option. One of the most incompetent organizations I have run across, and I handle licensing and permitting for a restaurant group which stretches across 6 states. The laziness and incompetence of some of these employees is truly one of a kind. Which is unfortunate, as it makes life tough on business owners, and trickles down to the citizens. When you pay a tax hold, it should not take 10 days for them to send a letter notifying the agencies.

If anyone in the private sector were this incompetent and inconsiderate they would be out of business. I set up a return call for 1:30 the automated systems calls and then I am on hold for 21 minutes. This only resulted in me talking to someone that was entirely unhelpful. Oh yes nor will a supervisor talk on the phone or email. If you have a complaint fax it in and they might mail you a letter explain how they still dont care about correcting their errors.

I was on hold for 15 minutes trying to check the status of my 1040 (which I sent to them for a second time because they apparently didn't receive it) and upon telling them this they immediately hung up on me. They are the most incompetent government organization I have ever dealt with.

I was worried to speak to someone after reading all of these reviews but was pleasantly surprised with the professionalism and sincerity the woman presented on the line with me. There was a mistake made on my tax form and she was very patient and handled my situation personally. I wholeheartedly believe in the golden rule: treat others the way you would like to be treated, and assume that is why i was taken care of so swiftly.

We paid our past due taxes with them. They still took it from our federal tax return. They are corrupt money hungry people.
