The property management team is unhelpful and unresponsive when residents have questions about rent fees and payments. The payment portal is dated and delayed, causing payment timing issues.
I lived at Ink Block for the last four years and absolutely loved it. The leasing office, management, and concierge teams were all amazing. My packages and dry cleaning were always delivered to my apartment so I wouldn’t have to worry about bringing them up. If I didn’t have to move cities for a new job I would still be living here!
Guys. What is with the black kitchen cabinets?! Makes the apartments look so dark. Oh and also...the bathrooms have white tile that look permanently dirty. The model didn’t even look clean. Bonus: better finishes in the other apartments will cost you an additional $500/month. All the apartments with this gross finish a cheap and a place you’d actually want to live in will cost you much more. Appalled. Immediately took back our application. The owner replied below that they offered me different finish options...but completely failed to clarify that units in the other buildings are $500/month more expensive and tried to claim it’s simply for a view. I’m sorry...unacceptable. Super rip off. Mind you, closets have exposed pipes. Closet sliding doors have exposed and dirty wheels...you can get MUCH more for your money than Ink Block and am happy to recommend other buildings in the area. We went with a close by community that was more up to our standards.
We toured Ink Block this past August and had the impression of a vibrant community with lots of great options for restaurants and hangout spots. The highlight of our touring experience was working with Ryan from the leasing team. He was super knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and available to answer all of our questions. For anyone new to the area, I would certainly recommend working with this team for a top-notch experience!
I recently moved into the Ink Block building and it's been the best decision I've made. Our leasing agent Ryan King was with us from the start. He made sure that all of our applications and move in details were solidified before my roommate and I moved in. Additionally, the move in process was as smooth as it could've gone. We also got a welcome gift which was a nice plus. I would recommend this apartment if you are looking for somewhere to live, and make sure to ask for ryan!
We just moved into Ink Block at the end of July and had a wonderful experience working with Ryan from the leasing office. He was very communicative and helped answer all of our many questions, as well as regularly checked in to make sure we were on top of our outstanding items before move-in. Additionally, he's checked in with us since we've moved in to make sure everything is going well. Overall, it was a great experience!
We just moved into Ink Block, and absolutely LOVE it! The entire staff is amazing, and the community is maintained impeccably. We had such a wonderful experience working with Ryan through our leasing and move in process - he is so kind, responsive, and goes above and beyond!!!!!! Thank you to Ryan & the entire staff! The love they all had for our puppy was an extra bonus :
It was pleasure working with Ryan as he was so patient with me and my son while we were in process of leasing the apartment at ink Block. he walked us through the whole process of the application and approval. he was very nice, respectful, and professional in his job. we were very happy dealing with him through this process. he welcomed us in USA with his warm personality.
Renters beware. Lease at your own risk. Once you have signed your lease, the rental office is your adversary. Your rent will increase significantly each year. Ending your lease early is next to impossible. I was told, in writing, that a my lease may not be assigned under any circumstances, b my apartment may not be sublet under any circumstances, c in order to break my lease I owe 4 months’ rent 2 months’ notice plus a lump sum payment equal to 2 months’ rent and d these terms may not be amended or modified in good faith under any circumstances. My current rent is approximately $500 lower than what similar apartments in the same building are listed for and the rental office still will not work with me even though InkBlock stands to gain from ending my lease early and re-leasing my apartment. I have lived in Boston area for over 10 years and in that time I have rented in multiple apartment buildings, including apartments in other luxury buildings. I have never been treated worse by a landlord/leasing office than I have been by the leasing office at InkBlock. I would not recommend leasing an apartment here under any circumstances.
Ryan King was excellent to work with while touring and considering Ink Block. He was extremely knowledgeable about the units, building amenities, and neighborhood. Ryan spent extra time showing us the dog run and parking garage and was diligent when responding to follow-up questions. Although we chose a different location closer to our jobs, our experience touring with Ryan made Ink Block an enticing place to live.
